Probably better than TraoresWho's our backup Sonny then? How do their returns compare to his?
What time was the VDV deal?
Wasn't that like 15 mins before the deadline or something
They’re backups, they won’t be as good as the person they’re replacing almost by design. Vinicius was Kane’s back up last season, how did his tally compare to Kane’s?Add all their goals/assists together and you're not even close to Sonny's contribution are you?

Wanted to post a GIF of a baseball player smashing a ball out of the park, but obviously can't, so you'll have to imagine it.The point isn't whether he's showing good judgement. Jeez. Paratici was bought in because what Levy thought was good judgement turned out not to be too often.
There isn't a position possible to take that someone somewhere wouldn't agree with. The problem here isn't his decision but the executive interference in something he claimed he was withdrawing his fingers from.
Paratici was within his parameters to go for the deal because we've bid for players with similar (and higher) fees this window. If Levy vetoed the deal then it's purely down to his own subjective assessment of the footballing requirements at the club, not the financial ones. And that's something he wasn't supposed to fuck up anymore.
If Paratici bought Traore and he flopped, we know who's responsible. If Levy was still running things and he flopped again, we'd know who's responsible.
Now with two camps vetoeing each other and landing on some reluctant compromise by fiat, who's responsible? There's no accountability and the one higher in the hierarchy can simply blame the guy one rung below him.
Levy has always played politics like this and I really thought it would take longer for him to get back in that mode this time. But he can't help himself.
Oh, and people keep talking about fiscal responsibility and transfer budgets like it's Football Manager and you have a slider set to a specific amount of funding that resets each season. That's not how it works. Huge businesses like Spurs aren't that short-termist and cash-flow reliant.
So, Kane, Sonny, then not much below them?Add all their goals/assists together and you're not even close to Sonny's contribution are you?
Has there ever been an end to the transfer window that hasn't descended into argument? I feel a bit in the middle. Not going to go overboard with optimism over the window or the season ahead but don't see a reason to get upset either.
Excluding penalties, no one has scored more goal than Kane & Son in the Premier League since the beginning of the 2020/21 season.Add all their goals/assists together and you're not even close to Sonny's contribution are you?
My point is that when Kane's out, we need to play Kane's backup (Son) and Son's backup (Moura, whatever), arguably both in roles that they're not best suited to. Basically, as soon as Kane's out, we're a massively weaker team, playing second-string players for that position.
Yup.
Bench boy Dan James went for 25m and he rarely impacts the starting 11, yet alone any game.
Levy, I have no words for the man sometimes..
What really burns me is the failure to bring in Traore. He could have been the game-changer for this team. If the Club was short of cash then why not sell Bergwijn and use that to get Traore?Add all their goals/assists together and you're not even close to Sonny's contribution are you?
We've got midfielders that can and have scored goals previously. It's up to the coaching staff to get those numbers up. Gil is an unknown for us. What we really need is for Dele to get back to scoring 10ish goals and then Bergwijn and Lucas getting 10 between them. That's not given obviously but that should be the aim when building confidence and rigour in our attacking play.Add all their goals/assists together and you're not even close to Sonny's contribution are you?

Isn't Bergwyns best position LW?
