I remember that from somewhere and think it was ITK on here.

Nobody know's if we lack it or not because we haven't seen our potential game-changers in action yet. What we haven't done is sign an already established game-changer a la Bale/Ronaldo/Messi etc. that's because only the very richest clubs make signings like that, we sign potential game-changers and then wait and see!

Even if you take a dim view of Rose there are few, if any out there available today, that could come in today, and do better.

Alvaro Pereira. Has been benched and out of favor so far this season at Inter, potentially available at a cheap price (or on loan), which will appeal to Levy. Has loads of big match experience, but most importantly: has worked with AVB before. AVB went for him while he was at Chelsea, but Porto wanted too much money for him.

Given Baldini's Serie A contacts, he makes sense on every conceivable level.

Completely agree. I have no idea who, but you'd think Baldini ad AVB could draw up a list and find someone. If they've found the right player and can see a deal being done, then go for it. If not, I think Rose will be starter (AVB has said in the past he'd be in his plans).

Still feel a NATURAL left back is needed.

That's an embarrassing comment to make.

Chadli might not be a regular starter once we settle down, but I'm sure he'll be an effective squad player at the very least. And FFS he's only been here 5 minutes.
