We spend all year stating how it will be nice to have a quiet window where we only bring in a couple of players and let the TEAM grow together rather than a mass influx of players.....

Then deadline day gets closer and a lot of people don't have the balls to stick by their word and actually stick with what we have!!

We have made 3 signings who could all be regarded as guaranteed starters by this time next year (just like Ali....he was seen as work in progress for a few years, fast forward 3 months and he's a starter!)

Let's just see how it pans out! It's all a gamble even if you go and spend £300 mil

I'm going to have one whinging post in response the all the forummers saying "we thought we were fucked last year and look how that turned out."

Last year we were exceptionally fortunate with injuries (bar Vertonghen, although Wimmer outdid himself).

As soon as we have suffered any sort of injury/suspension, we have looked out of sorts. Look at the Alli/Dembele situation. Or when we had to start Mason last season.

As ever both sides of the debate are being over-dramatic or over-defensive.

We have signed some players in good positions, we are light in other positions. Our squad isn't weaker and it isn't considerably stronger.

It doesn't mean that the club is a complete failure lacking ambition that is designed purely to upset people who love transfers. It doesn't mean that Levy has done everything right and is beyond reproach.

Those who love a transfer more than any actual football seem to be being more irritatingly childish at the moment but it's a very close run thing.

Can we all just try and be a bit more moderate/less stupid?
