It's time this was said. That is not how we play. Our pace comes from full backs. How many times in a game do we have acres of space for a winger to go full throttle. N'Koudou could come on as a livewire unpredictable sub. And Sonny and Lamela in our system are perfect.

And where do our pace come from when we play Davies and Trippier?

It's clear as day that we need someone who is pacy and take on players aka Bale or Lennon because none of our players can really offer that.

Can't believe the levels of optimism on here.... I would like what some of you are drinking. The wrist slitting starts in exactly 2.5hrs time.

I reckon it's Llorente and nothing else. The Pacy forward we had since january to identify and 3 months to sign......

Going to start believing in father Christmas again.
No reason for wrist slitting imo.

Even if its just Llorente - we will have improved since last year. Sanchez + Aurier > Wimmer + Walker

I would be amazed that we are getting a winger, no ITK will even reveal who it is at this late stage. If I remember right wasn't the winger more or less done?

Llorente and it's still a good window. The Barcelona boy even better. Add Sessegnon and it's gravy.

Moutinho window destroyed my soul.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Surely we would have heard something else by now regarding the pace option, so after Llorente and Gomes, i can't see much else happening, which all in all is decent, but makes us very pedestrian as a unit.

Chelsea are out of contention to sign Fernando Llorente.

They had been close for weeks but no offer was accepted. Tottenham came in and had an offer accepted today.

The 32-year-old Spaniard underwent a medical with Spurs and the deal is progressing. It will go through if and when Swansea sign a replacement - Wilfred Bony.

I'm sure if we were done after Gomes & Llorente the ITK's would just come out and say no more signings. They would have no reason to hide anything. Since they haven't it leads me to believe that there are still irons in the fire.
