Even the Sky Transfertron is getting as much of a run out as it has in other TW's, so it's not just us.

Amazingly enough 'The Ginger Pele' was actually signed as a Striker

Also I'm Sure Blondel was like 17 when he signed him, not really his fault it didnt work out

I'm fairly sure that Doherty was signed as a Centre Back and used as a back up striker when he got a few goals.

Blondel was a youth signing as you say but has been relatively succesful since he left.

I can't help but think we're gonna make one hell of a signing in the last day of the TW.

Levy cannot be sitting on his arse doing nothing. Something is taking it's time and i'm sure something BIG will come to fruition. Not itk just a gut feeling.

Things will be quiet for the forseeable but i'm certainly expecting a big signing whether it be loan or permanent in the last couple of days of the TW.

Other way round, signed as a Striker who could play Centre Half, then got a nasty knee injury and ended up plying his trade at centre half !

Still remember a beauty he score against Newcastle prior to said knee injury, curled in with the outside of his right foot !

Doherty was a Forward until we put him in Defence. He even played as a forward for Ireland.

Nothing exciting but a mate who knows Ingelthorpe reckons Coulibaly is off to Brentford on loan.

If that is the case I stand corrected.

I guess £1m for a young target man type wasn't a bad shout but he only scored 4 goals for us throughout his career, in which case he can stay on the list as a shocking striker signing.

He scored 8 (4 in the league). So he is twice as good as you thought. :)

Hey, you leave the Ginger Pele alone

And lets be fair to him, I would be surprised if he played more than 20 games up front and i think a majority of those goals came from him playing Centre Back

Just Googled it, I'm wrong 6 goals were scored in his Forward Days, not bad from 27 games

im sure Pav has a better ratio than that and get's lynched by us for being woeful.

I suppose it depends what type of fan you are; whether you'd prefer the player who tries really hard but is really crap that he doesn't even look like he's playing football or the maverick who does something flashy every so often but is as lazy as hell and spends more time fixing his hair.

I don't want to get accused of being involved in a Gary Doherty love in, but he was 20 years old and had just made the step up from the equivilent of the Championship, I think thats a pretty decent ratio. I don't get the 'crap tag' he was doing well in a shit team until he injured his knee quite badly

He was the worst player I have ever seen in a Spurs shirt

Hmm,Harry in court, almost certain to take the England job in the summer, if he doesn't end up in jail, top four place looking fairly secure, title looking realistically out of reach. My theory is Levy will keep his money in his wallet until the summer.
