Good luck Charlie. I wish him well.
Not the first player I wanted to see go but you can understand his reasons.
Always seemed like a good chap.

Now, can we get shot of some shitters please?
I'm not really even bothered about replacing some of them to be honest - they won't be missed much and could be replaced in the squad by the youngsters, who at least put some effort in when selected.

Always a chance Smith could be re-loaned out. I thought Leeds were mentioned as being interested in this. Can we only recall loanees from lower league clubs in the January transfer window? If not, then surely we could have just recalled Smith if anything did happen to Walker.

Seems like kind of a dickmove if we're just going to send him out again.

Must be brought in as cover, can't see any other reason.

Sad to see Charlie off but that's football. Been a brilliant servant and at times was superb. At his best definitely one of the best full backs I've seen at WHL, and looked a very accomplished player when on form. Not sure where it went wrong, and Walker has definitely taken advantage, but I hope he does brilliantly at Leverkusen.

I am excited about the prospect of Adam Smith getting some time, if indeed we are keeping him for the rest of the season, as I've always felt he's a really classy young player with bags of potential.

The Vrsjalko rumours are getting more interesting with Charlie leaving.

If he goes to Leeds he'll be moving up a division, makes perfect sense, same thing we did with Walker last season, albeit different leagues.

If he stays as cover, cool

hands up who would thus swap their soul for a lotto win a la chavski or city so we can buy a naffing striker and poop away millions with no care whatsoever???? no? me neither. although we don't play like it, we're small fry until we get the stadium or we get our own arab. being a properly run club has its downfalls, unfortunately they ALL rear their head in this window.

Nope, definitely not. It's a source of great pride that we're the only club to have gone from mid-table to contenders without having an oligarch or sheikh but success. The way Chelsea and Man City did it was nouveau riche and crass.

Spurs are the aristocrats of football, a club with class, and that's as true today as it always has been.

This, all day long. What theyve got comes with fans that wont be there the moment they stop winning, and players that r there for the cash n create shit as soon as they no longer get in the team. I'll have our board with our set of fans and players with the attitude that ours seem to have everyday of the week. Once we actually get players to the club the atmosphere is there for them to thrive.

Absolute farce letting Charlie go, unless there is a specific reason/replacement for it happening. At this stage of the season, we have to be selfish and keep good players for cover, until the summer, when we can then give the player his wish and have him move on.

Just doesn't seem at all logical unless something is afoot. Vertonghen may only play LB/CB and not RB, but bringing him in would give us an extra CB, meaning that Kaboul could more easily cover for Walker if need be.

Reality has finally hit me that we are not bringing anyone in. On the plus side we have a very good squad with only Huddlestone as a long term injury

If Charlie goes ... Doesn't that free up a squad space? Just putting it out there

It'll be frustrating sitting watching all of these clubs with their shiny new strikers doing the buisness while we watch Pav fuck about up top for us.
Pappis Demba Cisse, Djbril Cisse, Jelavic, Pogrebneak (SP?) maybe Tevez on loam at Liverpool, good knows who else.
Off course they could all fail, but it'll be funny reading the posts of us all cracking up - 'Why the fcuk didnt we sign him in January?' when one of the Cisse's bang in 15 goal :)
