We are still talking to Cahill so not really.

Cheers

Are we the reason why his deal hasnt gone through yet?

Supposedly he's agreed wages around 50-80k, this was last night as well.

If we fail to sign him, we'll most likely go after Samba no?

Do you know JJ if this is in relation to an immediate transfer, or are we looking at a summer deal?

If thats the case we must be prepared to go with what we have at the back until the end of the season, which is not what Harry has indicated in the press.

That is bad reading. Ekotto has no loyalty and has said before he plays just for the money as its his job.

If its true and they offer a lot he might be off!

:bang:

I think you have to let a club talk to a player if there is a buy out clause and it's met otherwise there'd be no point of having it.

It depends how it is written, we're not in Spain so there is no set guidance on what a buy out clause needs to entail.

Buyout clauses don't have any standing in UK law, so it would be pretty pointless.

Not sure of the details, but I've always understood they aren't legally binding here like they are in Iberia.

Basic contract law dictates that you can write pretty much anything you want into a contract and as long as both parties agree in full knowledge of what those terms mean and the whole thing is witnessed properly then it becomes a legally binding agreement.

The only time when this won't apply is if the terms themselves in the contract contravene a law, say for example we write in that he can leave as long as he kills Arsene Wenger the next day, that would then basically make his whole contract null and void - i'm sure Stoof can shed more light on this than i can though.

What?

Don't make things up, Dan. Of course they do.

All Spanish contracts have them written in (I don't know why) and they only apply to Spanish purchaser clubs - but that's not the same as saying that all buyout clauses don't have standing in the UK.

Daniel wants Harry to play Pav more this month and Harry doesn't , can you blame him? Daniel won't give Harry another striker this month until he sells Pav.
Can you see where this is leading? Impasse.
Harry is using his paper contacts to say what players he needs to put pressure back on Daniel.
Same old and it will all be ok in the end just letting you know !!

I much rather we play gio before we play pav atm, anyone can see it isn't working for pav atm he needs to go away to bring his price up let alone for his career
