It's not really.

It's like heading to Waitrose for a fine piece of fillet steak but knowing the address and opening hours of the Aldi in case you get to the Waitrose and those richer than you have already purchased all of the fillet steak. Because Aldi food is still better than no food.

Sticking with what we had wouldve been better than spending £8-10m on Evans.

It's not really.

It's like heading to Waitrose after 1pm for a fine piece of fillet steak that's approaching it's use-by date, but is now 10% cheaper, but knowing the address and opening hours of the Aldi in case you get to the Waitrose and those richer than you have already purchased all of the good fillet steak. Because Aldi food is still better than no food.

Edited for you.....

There would be no reason for Berahino to refuse to play. I don't see this as a situation that calls for it. He has already started their opening games of the season so he should just get his head down and let both Chairman come to an agreement. I think they will thrash this out nearer deadline day. I expect both clubs to stay on good terms over the deal, hopefully with Fazio going the other way to keep them happy.

Should one not rather find something in the present stack at home and see what one could turn it into?

Edit: I have no idea what we are talking about.

Maybe it was kept secret in case fingers crossed it didn't actually happen, i.e one meltdown avoided.

Love the ITK and its great fun on this site but I'm hating the game, not the player - which in this case is the players, not the ITK.

Seriously, Evans and Hernandez.... *temper levels rising*

Cabbages………."Two cabbages, one smaller than the other but from the same grocery"

Cabbage = Green for Ireland and Green for Mexico, smaller was 'little pea' same grocery was United.

As revealed previously, the first cabbage was Evans

The second Cabbage was……….Hernandez

I'd like to thank @Rob for putting us all through this lengthy agony View attachment 19820

Good to see our heavily invested in scouting network was able to unearth the obscure gems Evans and Hernandez from some far flung footballing outpost

Not necessarily anything wrong with either player, but I think we were all hoping for something a bit more interesting and intriguing from our shiny new scouting network

Re Berahino and the fee as a sticking point.

It's sickening that we drag this out til the end to save a few millions. Don't Levy see the value in getting in a player for the preseason and letting him know his team and tactics?

Also if you look at the Premier League payout it's stated that finishing 5th give 4 millions more in prize money than finishing 7th. Surely Levy must realize that there even is a chance to make up the difference by simply finishing a position higher? (Not to mention potential CL money).

entering the season with one striker is bad enough, but then Poch proceed and say he had to sub Kane cause he is knackered. So we entered the season with one striker who ALSO is knackered?

We knew all this, and yet here we still are haggling over the fee sigh. Absolutely horrible managment from Levy.

Luckily next June we will get the old "lessons have been learned" though, so its all good! (y)
Well it least it lasted 10 pages. @Archibald&Crooks is that a new record?
