This place is so predictable.

Start of the window we're signing Leandro and Moutinho and all the other best players, everyone is buzzin. 2 weeks later because we've seen no action we're now suicidal and planning a move for Kenwyne.

How about we all just sit it out and have some patience and not have the attitude of a gooner or Chel$ki fan wanting more and more.

DL knows what he's doing (even if he does make poor decisions from time to time)

Lets not forget the comments this lot made earlier in the window about Moutinho...

Blame the chairman......that's makes me laugh. The chairman who forked out major dough in the summer, bringing in a class Goalie, a CB, 2 Midfielders and Clint Dempsey and has signed up a promising LB and another young midfielder. Not to mention got our new training ground open and plans afoot for the stadium.

The mentality of some on here astounds me at times. It's like we're playing real life FM at times.

We have needed a decent striker for ages. Its no good just buying to stop the goals going in at our end we need someone to score at the other end. I wont go as far as to blame the chairman, but I find it hard to understand his logic behind his transfer policy.

Surely AVB could use his knowledge of the game find a decent striker from another league who has been scouted who could be brought in for a similar fee and actually hit a barn door.. but could the 'transfer committee'??

I can see Jones is a unit with pace and therefore a handful by his very nature, but we're already the biggest squanderer of chances in the league and we're talking about adding a guy who has not scored more than 10 league goals in a top flight season..would rather bring Crouch back!?

Jones? Ok, better than nothing. But I just keep on muttering "Why not Franco Di Santo?" to myself. Di Santo have 6 months left on his contract and would probably be dirt cheap and he is a decent player and used to a quick passing game, Shane Long would be a prefered player for me aswell. Sure, Jones is big and strong but he can't score a goal to save his life.

I wouldn't be too disappointed with Jones. Yes, he plays for Stoke, but he's a strong, hard-working guy with a good eye for goal. Plus, you know...he's a striker. At this point i'm beyond being fussy on that one.

Ade used to be like that before he got his contract!

Holtby in now would be useful, but I remain skeptical if he is the player to help us push on and get 4th this season.
He is a good young prospect and will undoubtedly get game time already this season, but to pin hopes on this kid coming and settling quickly into the pace and power of the EPL...

Obviously there is an element of that in any non EPL signing, but I am fearful that if Holtby is it for this January window then we are going to struggle. Of course we could still do it, but it is going to be very tight and one bad challenge away from having too few Goals in our side (If we lost Defoe and/or Bale).

Still, any reinforcements are welcome and thanks for the ITK Ryantegan

Sorry fat fingers and phone = dumb.

So we don't sign Loric Remy for £8 million but instead we go after a squad player at Stoke who will cost similar if not more!

It's not even worth talking about.... LOCK THIS CRAP OFF if we're going to continue talking about Kenwyn Jones in the ITK section.

so Holtby looks increaingly like the no.10 we are looking for. so we move our focus soley to a striker and Mouthino... My guess is mouthino will come but in the Summer IF we have CL.. IF.. wow.. those letters in that order sum up footbal don't they?! IF.

Mention of Jones i think it mischeif making. AVB didnt fancy Lukaku at all and he's far and away a better prospect and imo better player right now too. If our striker budget is no more than 10m then Shane long or Danny Graham represent better value and are a better fit. Not superstars but with qualities Defoe lacks and Ade has forgotten.

I'm sure this talk of Kenwyne Jones is just this years smokescreen, Inter will worry that they're going to lose a sale to us and come back begging for us to buy Leandro.

Also this Sandro injury is a wind up too, he's just putting it on, he'll be in the starting line-up against Utd this weekend.

I may be wrong on both counts though.

'Better than nothing' is the attitude that got us Fraizer Campbell.

It's not good enough for a club that wants to challenge for titles.

Kenwyne Jones? For fuck's sake.
Why keep adding these shitbags to the wage bill, on the pretense that it's cheap, and then spend the next few years not playing them, loaning them out and paying their wages? That's not cheap, it's a waste of money.

Leandro deal will never happen in my opinion. As much as he's been a long term target, i just don't see us taking a punt on him for the kind of money Inter want. And i think he recons he can do better than us. He's wrong but thats what he thinks. Idiot.

Co-incidently i signed Kenwyn Jones for Sampdoria on my updated Champman 01/02 last night. Doing alright so far.

However, dispite this, i really don't think we should be signing him for any actual pounds. On a free, maybe (at a push) but not for real money. Rather have Obeika as back up than that. And that is saying an awful lot!

(If your reading this Jon, your doing well this season for the U21's but lets be honest, you've not really merited a crack at the first team in your 85 years at the club)
