I'll say this for you, A&C. You may be a crazy bastard (with some VERY worrying sexual tendencies) but you never fail to make me laugh. I think it's the humour (lack of mental stability?) on this site, that separates it from all the other 'run of the mill' THFC forums. crazy crazy place, but boy do I love it on here!!

He didn't just say cl also ambition, also known as spending a lot of money on players so you have enough quality to qualify for cl. Even with the itk we've had about spending I'm not we'll spend enough to attract players and keep Bale happy

Regarding TJ's list of players who have had offers, I would sell Defoe, Adebayor and Livermore. Shame that Parker isn't on that list though

Until he signs for us, and he's no longer a tosser. He's obviously just ambitious, and if we were in the CL and the front runners for him, and he said this.. we would be like, "of course he wants to sign for us, we are showing we are CL quality"

Let's be honest, who wouldn't prefer to play in a team that's in the CL, he wasn't exactly ruling us out. Either way, I only know so much about the guy and I would be happy if he came to us but am not massively fussed as to whether he does or not. I'm more bothered about us not wasting time on a particular target.

Vydra would be decent along with a proper number 9. Leandro is the one we really need to get over the line, that's the priority for me.

Regarding outgoing strikers, I feel Adebayor brings more to the table than Defoe and if we are to keep one it should be Ade, although any decisions could be affected by his astronomical wages. Defoe would probably be far easier to shift than Ade too, considering his good PL goalscoring record and perhaps overrated reputation in England. We could get £6-7m for him I think. Bellamy still fetched good prices at around JD's age because of his proven goalscoring ability. In addition, it might not make financial sense to shift Ade after his pretty dire season, surely next year with a proper pre-season and free of injuries he couldn't do much worse. At the age of 30, we could try and get shut next season if his stature improves.

I know where you're coming from, but he's totally unproven. He should be doing cartwheels that a top 6 PL club is even giving him the time of day.

Probably should have worded it better, I don't mean that a player wouldn't choose us over a CL team, hence why I said I don't think Leandro's comments rule us out in signing him, I just meant that you can't really be annoyed with a player choosing another team if CL football is available to them.
