Think that's right, I wasn't including Holtby or Carol
So Ade, Kaboul, Capoue, Chiriches, Lennon, Paulinho, Soldado? If Lennon isnt included in the 6 or 7 as he's out on loan, then Dembele or possibly Townsend?

IMO, we need to get at least 8 or 9 off, including the boys out on loan. But I'd like to get the 7 i listed originally off as well as Holtby, Townsend, Carroll and possibly Dembele or Fredericks. That's possibly 12 out. If we can get all of them off, we could vastly improve the squad by bringing in 5 or 6 quality players without much trouble financing the incomings

Personally I think we'll get MS, because I'm convinced we'll end up selling them a player, probably Townsend.
I think a Townsend + cash deal for Schneiderlin is very likely to be accepted, if the cash is high enough. But the question is would he agree to come here with bigger clubs swirling around him also.

I don't think Arsenal will go for him now, if they do he won't be coming here.

I could see Milner going abroad actually. So underrated its unreal.

I would also like us to keep tabs on Ashley Young as if Utd go attacker crazy this summer he might not fancy a battle for the LB position with Luke Shaw.

That said I feel pretty confident at the moment that the club knows what they need and we have the right people in place to find it and bring them in. It's going to be a pretty exciting summer methinks.

About time not had one like that for nearly 2 years!!! ;)

Let's hope this time like we have read we have done the scouting well and not as many not so good signings

As for these Jerries, I'd suspect one of them is Kramer.

Another worth mentioning would be Geis' midfield partner, Julian Baumgartlinger at Mainz. Baumgartlinger's contract expires this summer, and he's yet to sign an extension with Mainz. Word is West Ham have already been in contact with him trying to convince him to move to England. Good player, surprisingly quick for a well-built, six foot fella. Would do very well in Poch's press IMO.
It goes against the "experienced" mention, and he isn't German (but plays in Germany)... but Khaka is rumoured to be off in the summer. He would be a great purchase, even though he is only 22. If we are basing this all purely on experience, Castro of Leverkusen has been a main piece of their midfield for years. He's a consistently good player, and could be considered a "safer" option (though none truly exist).

I really like Castro, damn good player. It's believed he's off to Dortmund though this summer, as he's said he won't sign an extension with Bayer since he's been there his entire career (even youth academy) and from his own mouth "maybe it's time to try something new," so Bayer will be looking to get a fee for him.

Baumgartlinger isn't German himself actually, as he's Austrian, so I too was thinking not necessarily 100% Germans. The advantage to this of course is familiarity with Wimmer as they've played together for Austria's national team. Xhaka I think would be a great buy, I've been thoroughly impressed with him this term. Would be rather surprised to see him leave though, with Gladbach set to play CL next term and the fact Kramer would be returning to Bayer. They have Nordveit and maybe they plan on playing Stindl in midfield on his arrival, but nonetheless that's a considerable overhaul when they'll be looking to push on. Where did you see/read Xhaka would be off though this summer?

He's been talked up to Atletico since late March. It's been on and off it seems. He has a €30M clause starting in 2017, but the rumoured fee to Atletico was €25M (£18m).

Interesting. They may take it then as they'll need to find a suitable replacement or two for Kruse. Favre has also proven himself rather adaptable (one of my favorite coaches anywhere in truth), so he could probably handle it. Not sure how much of a chance we'd have over Atleti though, especially if they have their pockets lined a bit with a Griezmann sale as looks likely.

I like this from Grey Fox's info:

To me, this suggests that Pochettino has recognised our weaknesses and understands how essential it is to get things right this window, which is very promising.

Never saw that coming................
