I've been advocating Levy to allow spending in each of the last three January windows, and was deeply disappointed when we didn't land attacking upgrades to our striker contingent.

However, this time around, I won't begrudge him if he decides to spend a minimal amount on incoming players. The fact of the matter is, we spent 65 million pounds on Lamela, Eriksen, and Soldado, all of whom are likely to be on the bench for our biggest fixture of the year on Sunday against Liverpool (I think all three should be regular starters, but AVB apparently doesn't agree). The handling of Lamela, in particular, makes me think it is unfathomable that Levy will sanction a heavy spend on any single or group of players next month. What's to say Andre will even play whoever we bring in?

I think this window will be like the January 2012 window; we will look for experience at positions of need, i.e. left back and striker. I think Alvaro Pereira is the player that makes the most sense (frankly we should have just bought him in the Summer), and I see he's being linked again in news outlets.

Well I for one would hope that DL looks at the bigger picture, like what a player will do over the course of their contract, not what they achieve in the first 13 games.
I presume you disagree with the way Hugo was allowed time to settle, learn the language, get to know his teammates etc.

The only ITK I would like now is the board giving AVB their full support and are prepared to give the new players time to settle in

A LB would be nice too

not RO worthy but insightful all the same
Who want's some ITK?

In the AVB Discussion including reactions to Duncan Castles story
I am very sceptical of this story.

Nothing I have heard from anyone close to WHL has suggested anything other than unfaltering support. One meeting post City does not make a managerial crisis. What Chairman would not ask for a chat with his manager after a result like that?

Top four come May and AVB will be going nowhere, that much is certain.
Seems like full support but as to players you should probably ask @The Goat, well not ask...wait with baited breath for some bleetings

Loans don't surprise me, true to form for us in Jan, if the right deal came along I think we'd buy

Vucinic?

We need someone in the mould of Lukaku, not someone who's on a downwards spiral and distinctly average.

Totally relaxed about this window.

What's our best formation, players etc ?

Left back (Benny back) and Berbs in, Ade out and I'm happy.

Is this another wary window from Levy, not committing until AvB gets the players we have playing well.

Vucinic has experience and an arrogance, loan only would be ok.

As long as he dont want any wages....he is slow - and I mean slow! Much rather Ade and or Berbe

Obviously better options out there than Vucinic, i think we need to look beyond Ade and Berba :(, it's a bright new world for Spurs now and we just have to roll with it.

We're hardly going to sign a world class striker in January, do we really need another player that doesn't know the prem and needs half a season to settle in? I'd rather we stick with Soldado tbh

And it's such a good sight seeing the ITK forum in bold writing again, always seems like I'm unwrapping a mystery present clicking the link :nailbiting:

I'd better not get another friggin Leandro one again this time though :bored:

Vucinic is a good player. Very much like Berbatov.

Plays on the left wing too, so would be able to play with Soldado, as well as covering for him.

Baldini obviously knows him well.

He's the player we should have signed 30 months ago instead of Ade if Redknapp hadn't been so suspicous of players from foreign leagues.

Would love Vucinic but if we are looking for loans then I don't see us wanting to break our net spend. That might have been a reason why we didn't bring in anyone else in the summer.

I can see us trying for a couple of loan deals that won't come off but that'll be about it. I wouldn't be overly fussed about that because we have a good squad.

I dont think we need Vucinic, I think he would link up brilliantly with Soldado but he is another short term solution in a squad of players that needs people to be go first
