To you, me Daniel and Ade, it would be be in lieu of wages but to the taxman it would just be a stipulation of contract. Therefore it would not be treated as a 'perk' or benefit such as a company car that would attract tax. It would that THFC entered into a sponsorship with X. Ade wouldn't be mentioned at all, except that failing to do so on Daniel's pay would man that Ade's contract becomes void.I can't see it being OK for us to have an agreement whereby we pay to a charity in lieu of salary.
