ITK it may be but we've been chatting about it all last night and now today, there's only so much that can be said.

Would be odd considering he has a picture in our kit for the release.

You have a point, but if Ade is the difference between us getting CL and not next season it doesn't really matter IMO if we might make a loss on him individually as a player later on. We need to take some risk and Ade has proven himself last season that we actually depend on a player of his calibre. If not Ade, then who can we realistically afford and able to persuade to come here who can do as good or a beter job than he? It's a bigger risk not signing him.

It's about quantifying and managing that risk. As a fan we all just want to see the best players, and I rate Adebayor highly, but the danger is you end up like Leeds - a risk not worth taking, and Levy knows this.

I don't know how this deal will get done, but I do not believe Levy would ever do this deal, as it's been suggested, in normal circumstances, and nor should he.

We/he have constantly proved that you do not need to take stupid fiscal risks to progress. Kanoute & Berbatov are perfect examples in recent years of players that did not represent bad risk/value. Even Crouch to a lesser extent.

Why on earth is high wages justifiable with a low transfer fee? I can understand from a club point of few that its the total contract value that matters but for the other players it most certainly is not.

There is usually a long process of haggling between the clubs. An agreement is reached and at that point everyone knows about the deal. Only after the deal is confirmed is the new signing unveiled.

Sometimes I wonder what the average age of posters are on here...

Especially seeing as it's a one-off cash injection which is, as far as we know, still a bit of a myth. Has it happened, is it happening? could be complete bollocks.

I know its overly impatient of me and I should be happy we have sorted our manager and made a couple of exciting signings already but I find myself every day thinking we need to sell 3-4 players and bring in some new strikers asap.

I really wanted the squad to pretty much be in place by the time they went USA so they'd all be on the same wavelength by the time the season starts.

At this point We seem to be at least 2-3 KEY players missing, ok if Ade signs he'll already be used to the team but if Luka goes we need his replacement plus a couple of strikers (or say 3 forward players) and perhaps even a goal keeper) left to sign.

The you come to the dead wood and you start to wonder if the likes of Gio, Jenas and Bentley will ever be sold.

Hoping to hear some positive ITK soon although I fear a lot of our activity will be after a Modric sale and toward the end of the window, probably after the season has started as always.
