If it's true and our prospective new signings aren't reliant on "Bale" money then Bale would be absolute numpty not to stay for another year.

The possibility that we told Bale we'd invest heavily and he would be the star man in a potentially title-challenging squad is as good as any other theory. All has been quiet on Bale from both him and the club. Still quite possible we said we would listen to offers if large enough but keep quiet for now and give us a chance to show you the investment we are prepared to make and then decide. If we really can do all this without 'Bale money' then this is a win win situation and an absolute Levy masterpiece.

I've always been more positive than not that Bale will stay and nothing publicly (facts, quotes from player or club) has suggested anything other than that being the case. The only question mark arises because of the money we are spending (and possibly the convenience of the injury) but if that has been found without the need to sell then money plays no part in the Bale saga from our side.

Adzsim on COYS re: Defoe

My dad had dinner in the same restaurant as Defoe last night and was sitting on the table next to him. Asked Defoe is he's staying and if he's excited for the new season. Defoe said it's a great squad but he needs to be playing and isn't sure what's going to happen.

Little bit worrying to hear that IMO, really hope he stays as he'll be massively important later in the season, especially as an impact sub.

Not saying he will leave but my dad got the impression that if a good offer was on the table he'd possibly go but would ideally like to stay.

Been away for a while. Did anyone solve the Isaac Asimov / Robot cryptic?

Are we re-signing Peter Crouch? :nailbiting:

Atlanta Yid on COYS:

Started a thread called: One New One

"[Todor] Nedelev thats what I got

The other deals are only happening if Bale is off"

The Bulgarian winger mentioned yesterday

Also said this earlier today:

Joe Lewis will only sell the team if somebody pays 'stupid' money for the team it is Daniels project and so far he has made uncle joe money.
Joe lewis asked Daniel what he needed to make the Champions league and AVB told him..... the rest will unfold by September 2nd

Willian here in the country suggests the deal is going to be completed relatively soon. We must have had an indication that Madrid will meet our demands.

I saw the Nedelev rumor yesterday......still have no clue who this guy is....safe to assume he is the Bulgarian Messi though?

am sticking to that unless proven otherwise.

I have a confession...I have No fricking idea who Eric Lamela is but I really hope we sign him cos lots opf other Spurs fans on the internet want us too!
I am trusting you lot are all a lot more knowledgable than me

The general thinking goes like this: the majority of us have never seen him play a full game, yet if we fail to sign him then nooses at the ready because life simply won't be worth living anymore.

I love the transfer window.

So it seems the ITK and the press is all indicating Willian is probably gonna end up with us (yay!) the Lamela move interests me more, IF we did get both and I'm sorry to play the formation game, but would that mean

Paulhino Sandro Dembele
Lamela Chadli Willian
Soldado

Cos bend me over and shove a chicken up my botty and call me Brenda, but that is a sexy line up.

I'm not sure exactly where Lamela and Willian prefer to play, I'm aware Chadli can play most of the front. The other two, I'm not so sure.

Getting excited now. A little bit of sex wee seeped out putting up that line up...:)

So you would have 3 at the back ? Who will they be ?

Slap Bale on the bench for a few weeks and let Lamela and Willian keep him out of the side.

Levy would love that, absolutely love it.

No room for Chadli in that team.

Not that I agree with that formation but if we make the signings we're talking about there will be room for everyone as we'll finally have a squad capable of rotation without losing major quality across the pitch. We won't play the same team every week

There sure is a lot of talk of wanking today... "SpursCommunity: The Soggy Biscuit at the centre of the Transfer Window Wankathon"

(I sencerely hope that the majority of us on here don't actually have their cocks in their hands and their trousers round their ankles... cause I'm not altogether cool with talking to anyone nursing a pudgy with one hand and typing with the other.)

I don't log on all morning and finally get back in at around 2pm. Everything has gone fucking mental! Lamela, Willian, Coentrao and Bale off shooting in from every direction. :D

Its just not up to him....fuck him.if he wants to.go. two weeks in ressies. Apology to fans in public, back in the side.

Then, Dawson comes out and says our target is the league.

That is the way an ambitious club takes advantage of our current situation.

It's happened to Suarez and Rooney, we need the same stance.

Then if we go for the league and get CL, we have another 40 million and findng stadium funding becomes a walk in the park. AIM HIGH TOTTENHAM

I've got no problem with him going if he wants to and I don't have a problem with £93 million reasons to let him go, but he'd be an idiot to go to Madrid on the basis of one great season. They'll eat him alive.

I am scared about all this talk

We would be expected to do well

And I struggle with the pressure of that

When we were languishing in the bottom half and a good season was getting into the top half it was so much easier to deal with disappointment as it was expected

I almost miss my bottom half of the table security blanket!! ;)

it was a joke Kendall and Saoirse............can you not spot the wink.........jeeeez!!

Forget "no room for this player" "where will so and so play?"

Man U have 4 out and our wingers, 4 strikers and about 15 other regs in the squad. Its a 50 game season. Everyone plays.
