Di Marzio is saying Poch is close to becoming our new manager unless there's a last minute hitch.
This I like!!!

It's funny, I don't remember anyone complaining or worrying about our profit figures when we sacked and paid off Harry and his staff, or AVB, or Ramos or any of our managers we've sacked. Now all of a sudden it's an issue.
As has been said above, the manager is the most important person at the club and if after careful consideration we've identified our number one target then we should be prepared to pay the compensation required (within reason obviously).
I am not sure if giving a manager more time really is the answer.
I am trying to think of a manager in the past 20 years who came into a club and really only started to make things happen after 3 years in charge...by that I mean make them successful ..........I can't think of any.
Good managers seem to make an impact really quickly and after 18 months in charge you can tell for sure if he is going to be successful or not.

This is big. Di Marzio's source is clearly Baldini as he was spot on with all our transfer dealings last summer.

You honestly think if we had hired Rodgers, and finished seventh in his first season, similar to what he did with Liverpool, we would of stuck with him?
That's rhetorical by the way.
I actually felt quite confidently that Sherwood would be given the job and keep it for the rest of the season regardless of results. That was an emergency situation, this is quite different.
Where has this notion that Levy's quibbling over the compensation come from? Yes, he drives a hard bargain, but we're talking about the approximate price of a promising 20-year-old striker from Dagenham & Redbridge or someone.
Pochettino's going nowhere else. Frank the Farmer isn't either. There's still a tenuous hope of van Gaal or Ancelotti. Of course we're waiting.
I do.

Yep.
The two people i will listen to above anyone else is this guy and JJ. And both are saying its Poch (well JJ more or less did earlier on in the week)
Absolutely......anyone could tell after Xmas 2012 that they were really starting to improve as a team and results showed that.
Mate, my maths is a bit sketchy, but that's a fair bit of the pace in terms of Levy's demands

Di Marzio should become an SC-approved ITK if it eventually happens...Di Marzio is saying Poch is close to becoming our new manager unless there's a last minute hitch.
If we were in the same position as liverpool when rogers took over. Having to sell players to ballance the books and bring the wages down. Then yes. As long as there was progression. The signings they made in the summer were excellent and the fans could see which way the club was headed. Liverpool were right to give him another season.
We sacked avb because the football was terrible and we looked like we were regressing after spending over £100m on players. Tim was brought in as interim manager and would have had to do something special to keep the job especially as a lot of fans hated him.
Looks like a done deal now then.
