Taking in to account his potential and the fact that he's already an England player, his value must have risen about 1000% since we signed him last January.

We wont lose him, but if anyone came in for him this month it would take a world record bid for a teenager, I'd imagine. I love the guy, great news!

The club have always been quick to reward young talent. Particularly important now to try and retain players given the stadium is likely to drain resources. Hopefully Alli will see that the club gave him a payrise very quickly and stay loyal to us.

The best way to retain players is success on the pitch. Do something positive this window to really make things happen this season, rather than just hoping for the best.

It's not just about the money and kudos of finishing in the CL places. It's about convincing the best players here that we can match their ambition and attracting others to join too.
