A lot of noises apparently coming out of Saints that Pochettino is about to sign a new contract. In no way is this ITK by the way, Southampton supporting mate is sat opposite me at work trawling Saints forums whilst I'm on here!

Maybe Levy has decided that due to the big mouth nature of our last manager he now wants a manager with absolutley no grasp of english at all. so he cant talk to the english press.

I think that the deciding factor for FDB and poch will be compensation, contract lengths and how much we have to pay to release either of these managers. Both are young managers who in my view would take the job if offered and both are forward thinking dynamic coaches, my preference out of the two is FDB, I only wish we were being linked more to Rudi Garcia, but as is always the spurs way...£ talks

Should really be about the best man for the job though. In my eyes, thats FdB, and what he can bring to the club now and for the next few years. Assuming he is given the chance to build something for that long!

Severely underwhelmed by the idea of Poch, i hope Levy knows what he is doing this time because if (when) things go pear shaped with Poch i can really see the fans turning against Levy

I can understand why you would be underwhelmed because I was at first but it really isn't as bad as it seems. The work Rodgers has done at Liverpool and Martinez at Everton gives me a lot of optimism because of the clubs they come from.

However, I hope for your sake that your try and get the negative thoughts out of your head mate. Assuming that things will fuck up (which is possible) will just make you think negatively when things get more difficult next season.
Turn a new leaf and clean the slate and forget about last season (if you can ) .

True though huh. I know we are financially a well run club, generally haggle on player purchases and get the best deals when selling..
Just wish for a world class coach and one or two top class players...come on levy

How do you know Poch is not top class if he has never had a chance of managing a talented group of players?

I'm not saying he hasn't got massive potential, but he can't be considered top class can he...unless he has proven himself to be that? Managers like ancelotti are top class, in my view we could do with a sure thing, a top class manager, a Van Gaal, Hiddink, Ancelotti. I'm not opposed to FDB or poch, and will back them as always, just want a manager ego can take us on a level
