Maybe that was his chance to grab his place back. Must of fucked it up
I just bloody well hope that if we sell Ade, we get a new, younger and better striker who is also strong and more of a target man.

Obviously I am not saying anyone like that exists *cough* Benteke *cough*...

I am certain Liverpool fans would say exactly the same about our manager.
Difference is AVB has changed things Rodgers hasn't they still have no plan B. AVB has changed it soo we're playing with proper wingers instead of Inverted ones last few games. We still need a Plan B which could be 442 or a big targetman striker if we were still to plan 1 upfront!

Whilst I'd love Shaw I can't see Southampton selling for any price we'd look to pay for a left-back. They've got a lot of money behind them too and are aiming for Europe too.

Plus the lad is a massive Chelsea fan and both they and United need a new left-back.

Shaw is a long shot but definitely looks the real deal as a player- surely going to be mega money though?

Exactly. He would be priced at 20m minimum after we raped them over Bale.

Last left-back that came to us from Southampton didn't turn out too bad, and I'd say this guy's more highly rated. Problems include having to pay upwards of 15 million for a really young guy and that he's always been anchoring for a Chelsea move.

Jose is saying that Cole is getting a new contract and we're probably a bigger pull than United without Ferguson and no guarantee of CL football next season.

Still highly unlikely but I'd love it

I would be amazed if we managed to get Shaw in Jan unless it's a world record fee for a wing back. I have no doubt that we are greatly interested but I just don't see it happening at all. Obviously I would love to have him here.

If it isn't enough that we get so many bloody long shots in a game, we now get them in the transfer window too.

I'm done with it. Goodbye cruel world. :dead:

We would have to pay way too much money to get Shaw imo. There are going to be cheaper, better options out there.

I don't think money would be a problem with a few excess players on our books, but i can't see Southampton selling unless it is serious money, and it may well give Pochettino the hump too, are the Southampton board prepared to do that? not sure they are.
Also, i can see Chelsea/Utd popping up and gazumping us.

Ah it's good to be back...
Shaw eh.

Hmm Think Southampton are doing too well themselves for us to have him on anything like a reasonable fee, let alone whether he would be interested in a mid season move when, as I said, Southampton are in with a shout of Europe themselves.

But, definitely wouldn't say no and we really need a LB.
