I get the inpression from some earlier itk and some media that our new training ground seems to be very influential in our player recruitment.
I think it was said that villa visited and was impressed.

If so well done danny boy

It makes so much sense. As far as the players are concerned, playing in a huge home stadium once every two weeks is nice, but it's far more important to have a high quality daily place of work.

I was thinking 'Dave' would do :)

Rule # 1) Dave is and will always be Vicenzo Iaquinta
Rule # 2) If in doubt, see #1
Rule # 3) Why are you still reading, #2 covered this subject to its full extent
Rule # 4) Well now you're just being juvenile. I'm calling Ever
;)

Christ on a bike, does it really matter what we all decide to call him?!

Surprised we aren't on to the chants yet...

What a great group of players we are linked with. I don't think many would consider us without AVB at the helm. What a signing he was. Thankyou Levy (and lady luck)x

It worries me that this is the kind of thing people were coming out with five years ago. Fortunately, AVB is no Ramos, but doesn't it strike you that the reason players like this are considering us is that we're seen as an elite club, one of the 'haves' (if not one of the 'have a whole lot mores').

We're in a different place to five years ago so the reference to Ramos is defunct but the calibre of player we are genuinely linked to is reassuringly high now.

We are past those transition seasons thankfully so we can build upon solid foundations and add star quality to an already multi talented bunch.

Bale is now a world renowned monster of a player, add in players like Villa (Spain's greatest ever striker) and Paulino, the rest will come easy.

We've managed to consistently fight for the Champions League for the last few years, and have finished in the top 5 for most of the last 10 years, in one of the best leagues in the world. I'm loving the fact that we're so ambitious, and able to attract players like Vertonghen, Dembele, and Lloris.

Plus Levy and co have done a brilliant job raising our global brand.

Was thinking that as well. They'll be given a few weeks rest for sure, just as pre season is about to get under way. But then again they've been playing up until now - so at least from a fitness point of view it shouldn't affect things too much. Just won't get into the groove of playing with the rest for longer.

All this worrying over players we havn't even signed yet lol
