Bearing in mind that Falcao is available for 8.5 Million loan fee plus wages, I really hope the loan fee for Welbeck isn't anything close to that. And we should try our best to install a buy option with any loans we make.
Mate, I think we could all have a whip round to raise that cash just so we could get as much mileage as possible out of everyone saying "Falcao goodnight".

Few snippets of info this morning:

Sandro is injured but his transfer still might go through.
Lennon not likely to go anywhere.
Holtby is 60/40 staying.

Please don't ask me for more details. That's all I've been told.

So all these players not fancied by the manager is more than likely to stay

how many deadline day specials has levy actually given us? can only remember VDV?
Well he owes Poch and us something special today. It's been a pretty crap window so far, with all our rivals strengthening and us merely bringing in a second choice left back and keeper and a young promising CB. Yes Fazio and Stambouli have been brought in, but they feel like second prizes after we were after better players.

Maybe Holtby's only 60/40 because there is still a sticking point regarding wages and we've sent him to Germany so he can be there for a medical if all is agreed...

I thought this might be the case. We've heard various times from JJ that Redknapp was never keen on Lennon so it seems quite strange that he's being linked.

Townsend would be more likely to move to QPR from what JJ has said.

Good news about Lennon. He still has a role to play in the squad, even if it's just as an impact sub.

I will be pissed off if we let Lennon go and keep Townsend (even more so if doing so has prevented us from getting MS).
would nt mind seeing lennon go. he burst on the scene early on and it seems like he thinks he s made it so does nt have to try to hard anymore

Like the Lennon news...as that could mean Townsend is the one going if you tally it to Trix's info (only one of Townsend/Lennon to go)...and I'd much rather keep Lennon.
Will get more for Townsend plus AL is a better team player, someone who will follow a managers instructions to the best of his ability.

On MS maybe this is the time to act quickly to get what we want and then deal the others out even if it means taking slightly less money for each. Not Levy's way but probably the only way we will get MS. If we leave this to the last minute I think we will be trumped

Frankly I'm not expecting much today, so anything that happens will be a bonus (as long as I like the news that is!!)

Doesn't bode well for incomings if we can't shift Lennon and Holtby.

Hopefully we don't need to delve into selling Paulinho and Dembele yet retain others.

I doubt you'd partner Nastisic with Vertonghen and nor will he want to be on our bench instead of City's.

Plus as well, it most likely means the end for Chiriches here so all in all, it gets the thumbs down for me.

J-Rod being back on from Trix is interesting. It had all gone quiet on him, with the Wellbeck link starting.

That's not what I said.

I said Poch very much wants him now, how the club see buying a player currently out with an ACL injury may very well be a completely different thing altogether. Jjetset has said repetedly the club are not looking at him "FOR THIS WINDOW", my info on this is Poch specific, and is not from Levy or the club itself. He wants him now, doesn't mean it's on or that we are even thinking about it at this point in time.

Would just add if Lennon is very unlikely, then it is because Townsend must be a lot closer. Club 100% pushing for one or the other to go, and there are good offers in for both.

Well, I'm all a bit down and disheartened. I don't believe we'll get the player(s) SC believes we need, nor the ones Poch wants.

And while the names being mentioned are solid PL players, they don't excite me. Fees also seem to be steep.

But I live in hope.:)

I very much hope that's because we're taking the £12m from Southampton in part payment for MS!

All a bit depresing really isnt it?!
The calibre of players we are able to bring in is hardly going to scare the big boys.
After yesetrdays debacle we need a lift as we have so many average players. Its not going to happen is it?!

Compared to where we were this time in 2010. Shows how far we have fallen in 4 years.

All a bit crap really.

The best we can hope for today is Morgan Schneiderling! Woo hoo. Its no Van Der Vaat is it?! :-(
