I agree with AVB that the window should be in the off season not 3 weeks into the new season
Agree, deadline day fucks us again. I'd have gone mental about VDV going if I knew we would only get Dipsy. THFC @ Wannabeaverageagain.,

Apart from the Manchester clubs and Chelsea, who are all these clubs that are so significantly better than us we're going to drop out of the top 6?

Where were you when Lloris was announced?

While I am very, very happy to have signed Lloris we already had a solid keeper in Brad Friedel.

I think midfield (provided you already have a good striker) is the most important area. We have good, athletic players and some good holding midfielders in the team, but with Modric and VDV gone we are seriously lacking in creativity.

I'm hopeful as always, and I'm very pleased with the players we actually HAVE signed, but I'd be lying if I said I'm pleased with our business overall.

We have just signed Fulhams best two players from the last two seasons. Has anyone taken notice as to how the link up together? I for one haven't if i'm honest but i'm hoping they have forged a decent understanding between one another and if so that could be vital for us. Has anyone noticed their link up play?
Yes. In the games I have seen of Fulham, the link up between these two has been particularly noticeable. They are both intelligent players. It is in this area that I think we have been pretty astute, we have bought intelligent players, players that not only play but think at a fast pace. I too am gutted at losing out on Moutinho, but I won't be throwing my arms up in the air, I think we have actually strengthened, the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.

I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing this squad click.

Good thing we waited until the last day to sell Rafa and got that extra 1 million Euro.

Better yet good thing we sold our most influential player for 10 million pounds and didn't even buy another creative midfielder.

I'm a bit apprehensive about Arsenal. You just never know if Giroud and Podolski are going to be great for them. Having said that, I think we're in with a shout for the 4th place

Not one signing to 'take us to that next level'(like harry used to say)
if anything we may have gone down a level

We may not play a game that is as pretty or as fluid as it used to be, but I see this team carrying a lot of heart and drive. I think they will get it done. I see us having a good finish.

And Vertoghen, and although not a good enough replacement for Modric, DEMBELE IS AMAZING

Verts still has a lot to prove, and he most probably will. It is however safe to say he doesn't posses the natural born qualities to perform like King. To be fair there are very few who do.

Dos Santos - so many thought we'd signed the new Ronaldinho and I and most others were so excited. Did nothing in a Spurs top.

We sign Dempsey today who scored 29 goals for a midtable team and for some we may as well just have resigned Gregor Rasiak! Perspectibe
