I'd honestly sell Defoe ASAP. His presence as an option as a hindrance due to the crowd being on the manager's back to play him despite him being bloomin' useless. Take the money and use it to buy somebody completely different either a lump - Traore or similar - or a linkman - Pato/Vucinic. Somebody who can play either with Soldado or alone.

MLS season starts in March though, so they'll want him before that.

Also it's better for Defoe to be playing, than benching for Soldado (which realistically is going to happen whoever the manager). Guess it depends more on us getting a replacement in.
