Thing is with the greek family, they can hold out for as long as they want, they don't want to move, sooner or later we will have to pay what they want if we want the stadium built.

Re the goat, let's find out which house it is and take turns to shit on their doorstep. We could buy a left back with that kind of money.

I wonder if we will wait for a new manager before selling Defoe and buying another striker. Will tell us a lot if we do buy a striker without a permanent manager, shows that a manager would have little say anyway.

That's pretty much it. Why don't we just build the stadium around it? They'll open their front door to go to work and Sandro will be flying in with a crunching tackle!

Edit: Shit. Think of how many times Dawson would be knocking on their door to get his ball back from their roof. :ROFLMAO:

Not necessarily. We could get a compulsory purchase order, not entirely sure. The only ones I have come across are where land is taken in this way for new roads, services or anything else the council/government want to build. Different rules for them. Since this is a major regeneration it could apply. Still fairly decent compensation I think, but not numbers pulled out of the sky like 5m. Will delay things going this route though.

Haha! Can just imagine Sandro running through the house on a sunday afternoon and coming out the back garden with a full leg of lamb from their sunday lunch and just munching on it.

Arsenal had to do it. A few houses were trying to hold out for a big payout I believe. The CPO's came in and they got less than what Arsenal had originally offered.

A CPO has, if I recall correctly, been granted. So they won't be hanging around forever to get what they want. This is all in the thread on the new stadium.

Now, back to the ITK.......

Surely Defoe out implies another striker in. Vucinic will be for sale but I'm not sure I'm convinced by him. Hernandez and Dzeko might be available but will either club sell to us? City might but wages are also a huge issue. Benteke would presumably take massive money. Lukaku is a pipe dream. Have we been linked to anyone else? Where's @Snarfalicious with a list of targets when I need him?

Just on Defoe I would imagine that TS would not be so pig headed about Ade so I would think he will be used if JD has to go, that's a ridiculous offer and no one form the EPL would make that sort of offer for him.

Hard for Levy to knock that one back.

You'd have to hope that Sherwood is approaching the playing staff with a clean slate - including Ade. If he plays well to prove AVB was "the problem" then we'll have a very good player on the books...

We saw the chavs step it up a gear after Andre was booted there - Adebayor will feel very hard done by and it will hopefully get him to prove a point to the watching world.

Move a bunch of Turks in next door, light the blue touchpaper and stand back, chances are you'll see fireworks

Probably in a thread where lists of targets are allowed ;)

Personally don't think we will sign anybody in January. Reckon Levy will want Sherwood in charge until window closes, asking him to reintegrate Ade and recall BAE. That way we get another CF & LB as everyone keeps saying we need!

And Levy doesn't have to spend anything. Maybe appoint a new manager then or Sherwood stays until end if the season.
