Exciting times with our Welsh lad helping to fund the stregnthening of our first team. Funny to think his transfer could mark one of his five greatest contributions to Spurs (though I would love if he played the rest of his career in the lillywhites).

The only question is will we have a gametime introduction of Vlad, Erik and others?

I'd donate now, but will have to wait until after payday as just found out someone has filtered over £700 from my bank account.
(If Arsenal sign a shiny new player, I'll know where to send the police!)

Probably Levy! He's hatched a plan to spend everyone else's money this TW, hence the craziness!

In all honesty though, hope you get it sorted (y)

Also our squad personality has to be one of the best around with all the captains/former captains we have: Soldado (captained Valencia), Capoue (captained Toulouse and France u21s), Lloris (captain of France), Vertonghen (was captain of Ajax), Chiriches (captained steau), Kaboul and Daws (captained us).

With all these marvelous, juicy, mouthwatering, splendid, shiny, supercalifragelesthexpicalidocious signings, it is no wonder AVB turned down offers from other clubs this summer. With all these toys Levy/Lewis/Baldini got him he has the chance of his life to build a Kingdom of Dreams and an everlasting Spurs legacy.

Bring it on COYS

Don't forget Ade, captain of Togo

Met Chadli late last night whilst I was working at a local restaurant in NW London. Nice guy. Ended up speaking to him 3 times and I mentioned the derby on Sunday and wished him luck etc... Started work last night at 6pm just after the Roma announcement appeared so I asked him if he had heard anymore on Lamela. He replied; 'yes I think he has signed.' I asked if he knew about anyone else coming into the club and he said Eriksen should be signing soon too and after reading the news late last night when I got in at 3am from work I see that news has gathered pace rather nicely! COYS (y)

It won't be Arsenal, unless their splashing out on 3 players!! :)

On a serious note, bad luck mate, is a proper **** when that happens. Happened to me last year, I got the money back but is just the hassle that you have to go through.

We need to record this, all proceeds to the COYS Mods!!!

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality.
Fuck off the Arse,
Look up to the Spurs and see,
We’re not the poor boys, we’re in ascendancy,
Because Bale has come, Bale has Gone,
Little high, little low,
But know we've got Bertoni, it doesn't really matter to me, to me.
Levy, you are my man,
You’ve had a gun against your head,
poor old Perez, should be dead.
Levy, life had now begun,
and the Arsenal threat has all but gone away.
Levy, ooh,
Did you mean to make me cry,
If we’re not in the top 3 come next April,
Carry on, carry on as the next year really matters.
Arsenal, your time has come,
You’ve lost your F*cking spine,
Wengers Moaning all the time.
Goodbye, to the Woolwich, we've got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind to face the truth.
Levy, ooh (any way the wind blows),
Dreams just never die,
I sometimes wish I’d married spurs instead.
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Paulinho, & Sandro, will you do the Fandango?
Your tackling is lightning,
Very, very frightening He (He).
(Galileo) Galileo.
(Galileo) Galileo,
Galileo Soldado
Magnifico.
We’re not the Poor Boys, and everybody sees that.
We are the Totteham, Mighty Mighty Totenham,
Watching all the other teams turn around & Flee.
Easy game, easy win we’ll give any team a go!
United Yo!! You can come and have a go.
(Have a go!) Bin Dippers Yo! You can come and have a go..
(Have a go!) You Chelsea Scum! You can come and have a go.

(Have a go) You can come and have a go.
(Have a go) You can come and have a go.
(You can come and have a go.) Ah.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
(Oh, Villa Boas, Villa Boas) Villa Boas, let’s have a go.
Beelzebub has a Trophy put aside for me, for me, for me.
So you think you can walk in and wave us goodbye?
Just come to the Lane and we’ll leave you to die?
Oh, AVB, can you picture it AVB,
Just gotta take points, just gotta get right to the top yeah.
(Oh, yeah, oh yeah)
Spurs is all that matters,
Anyone can see,
Spurs is all that matters,
Spurs is all that matters to me.
Every way the Spurs blows.

Er, i think the proceeds should go to SC rather than the COYS mods

Who's Bertoni?

He's probably a bit past it now, but Lord knows we need more signings Godammit!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Bertoni

Bale replacement? Good goalscoring record at Independiente!

There's also a Moises Santiago Bertoni - might be something in that...

or Flaminio Bertoni - looks like we are going to poach the Filths free signing, just because we can?

These are not serious suggestions.

I am going to miss the bi-annual post-window moanfest this year

Hahaha POTL's round up explanation of what went wrong is going to be something like this.

"nothing. nothing at all - we smashed it left right and centre - we signed the whole fucking rainbow this time boys"

Andy Burton on SSN: "So much activity at Spurs, if they build a stage (to unveil their new signings) it'll resemble Live Aid"

:ROFLMAO:

Burton the gimp looks lost standing outside the Bernabeu, he's missing out on all the happenings at Spurs. :D

I've said for weeks now that the Coentrao signing is absolutely vital to us contending for the league title. He is genuinely a top 3 player at his position in the world, and the amount of chances he'll create with crosses in the final third will be astronomical. I've been frustrated by the baseless conventional wisdom being bandied about that he isn't interested in a move to us, but I've held out hope in the last 2 weeks, because I have not read anything in the Spanish press about him ruling a move to England out. That hasn't been the case for Ozil and Di Maria, and it's clear that he isn't staying in Madrid based on him not even making the bench against Granada a day after fully training with the squad. My personal opinion is that there may be financial reasons for he or his agent to want a move to us done separate from Bale (perhaps some type of loyalty bonuses, etc).

By the way, can I just say that whenever we talk about all the spending we are doing (including going for Coentrao at 20 million Euros, as ITK has suggested), we have to keep it in perspective that our NET SPEND is actually exceptionally low!

Out
Huddlestone: 5 million
Parker: 3.5 million
Dempsey: 6 million
Caulker: 9 million
Bale: 85 million

Total: 108.5 million

In
Soldado: 26 million
Lamela: 26 million
Coentrao: 17 million
Paulinho: 17 million
Eriksen: 10 million
Capoue: 9 million
Chiriches: 8 million
Chadli: 7 million

Total In: 120 million

That is only a net spend of 11.5 million pounds, and that's with BAE, Adebayor and Sigurdsson still on the books. You could easily offload those three and make a net PROFIT this window! Let's not also forget that we have shed the likes of Gallas, Bentley, and Livermore from our wage bill too, and the incoming guys are all on very reasonable wages.

An absolute stunning window from DL!!

Quotes on my local news channel saying Ajax coach is coming to terms with Eriksen's move to Tottenham, says this will be a "huge loss" to the Ajax team. Surely this means the deal is well under way or even near completion?
