AHAHAHA! This is transfer related.

Ledley King has said that Redknapp tried to convince him to come out of retirement to play for QPR last season.

:D:hilarious::ROFLMAO:

'Arry: "Fancy playing for QPR next season? It'd be 'triffic"

Ledley: (*clutching knee) "Aaargh the pain...sorry 'Arry it's still playing up."

'Arry: "But Ledley...that's the wrong knee..."

Ledley: "Take the hint."

My mate just text me and said he just bumped into AVB in Docklands outside of Canary wharf station. said he looked like he was with a couple of coaches and possibly and agent looking guy. My mate is a millwall fan so didnt ask him any intruiging questions. :-(

does this make me ITK??

So if my 2m is close to accurate (and once again....not sure), he's on about £33k/wk. So he is seeking a mucho massive bump. And considering he doesn't even start for them, it's a bit ridiculous. I can see this one not working out.

Do you have my previous comments about Coentrao!? :D

Makes you an idiot (only joking) for having a mate who's a millwall fan.

A hat's off to Breezer

He started out the summer posting that Bale would stay. While I don't know if he did, he even posted in late July that he was going to be place a bet on him staying. That changed suddenly on August 1st. And he started posting things I didn't want to hear. So I dismissed them. I told myself that his contact was winding him up. I was sure he was being played and that Bale was a good lad. But he wasn't being played or wound up.

I never doubted that he was posting earnestly, but I was convinced his source was a jokster. Guess that guy is dead serious.

So Breezer, while I never bashed (although that one time you thought I did and you got a bit petulant), I still want to openly acknowledge that your info during August has never changed on Bale and over the past two days has been shown to be 100% accurate.

Good work mate. Even though I hated it at the time.

But in the future, if you say things I don't want to hear, I will still try to convince myself otherwise. :D

So I went and dug some of your posts up. These are all from early August but due to how the threads are locked I can't easily give the link to the actual post.

And he once posted this article with the tagline: do people still think Bale is happy to stay

You should have just given him a handy - it would have saved you some time :)

I HAD A DREAM.......

And I fear waking up sometime soon !

I have never witnessed a blank white untouched virgin ratings bar, so I am going to deflower you with a positive 'creative' rating. I think it deserved at least one :D

Also our squad personality has to be one of the best around with all the captains/former captains we have: Soldado (captained Valencia), Capoue (captained Toulouse and France u21s), Lloris (captain of France), Vertonghen (was captain of Ajax), Chiriches (captained steau), Kaboul and Daws (captained us).

Also Holtby captains the German U21's

Romanian site claiming that Chirches has just signed a 5 year deal @ £23k pw after completing his medical - not sure whether to believe or not.

According to NickTopSpurs Man on COYS who has been at Holly House chatting top Greg Stobbart and a Romanian TV crew our medicals take place in two parts...one at Holly House and one at Hotspur Way.

Lamela had just cmpleted Holly House (going back a few hours now) and Vlad did last night.

If true about Vlad and the fact he was pictured at the hotel near to the training ground today he could by now have completed and signed so this is plausable.

Breezer was also the first to confirm Dempsey going as I recall - my hat is off to the man

This isn't funny. On this one, Harry was dead on. He needed leadership and determination to avoid the drop and was stuck with a bunch of overpaid players that were phoning it in. So if you have a chance at possibly the best player you've ever managed......you give him a call

And Ledley, even on his knees and at this age........is probably still a formidable defender in the league. I don't doubt for a second he could come out of retirement and do a job for many teams.

How is that we forget how good this guy was? He may not have been as gorgeous and magical as Ginola or as clinical as Berbatov or as fun and gun as Jurgen. And in my opinion, he was even better than Ginola. Even with all these great signing......in 10 years, I bet I will still be able to say with no sense of hyperbole that King was the greatest player I ever saw play for us (I'm a Yank, so remember that football didn't exist until 1994 ;) )

You have to go back to the 91 side to find players that would truly be his contemporaries. And despite the casual use of the word legend, he's part of a select pair we've had since then.

He may have been dead on with the request but he must have known that it would fall on deaf ears.

The 2m euros per annum is net I believe.

As of today, Coentrao would need to earn around £60,000 per week to be in the same net position.

It's funny because he turned Redknapp down not because Redknapp asked him (well that's what's amusing me).
