You plebs have only done 2 pages since I went to bed?!

Anyway, I think we will probably be stronger if we sell Bale and bring in three top players. If not immediately, then certainly in the future once our young team develops.

At least Sandro isn't leaving. He's the one i'd be massively gutted to lose.

I think I'm officially in the acceptance stage of loss.

It's now about spending that money wisely.

Come on Levy...get it done quickly!

I think the 3 we have got are nothing to do with a bale sale, if he does go then I would expect another large chunk of money to be available for more players.

We lose a bit of magic with him gone, but 2/3 players in his place, if the right players, do more for the squad as a whole.

And it has to be remembered that the reason he was so incredible for us last season is because his spectacular solo efforts won us a lot of points. With a striker who can score goals, and hopefully a few more goals coming from our other signings, we shouldn't be relying on individual moments of brilliance to rescue us next season.

As said before, I'll be sad to see him go, but the future should be bright without him, especially if Ghostofarmo is correct about others coming in. I honestly believe that if we keep Bale, after last season we might be a bit underwhelmed with him next season. Purely because he won't be rescuing us single-handedly every game, as we hopefully won't need him to.

If the ITK is accurate, and we're going for Lamela, that will help get us over Bale. But I think we'd still need more than just him and the young Romanian kid (if that's even still on) to make us feel we've really moved on.

We all knew he'd be off. But, question was this or next year. Shame if he is going now. Was privilege to watch him grow and blossom into the star he is all while at White Hart Lane.

Use the money wisely on players AVB wants for the system and we'll be fine.

Good to hear ghosto thinks the Chiriches deal can still go through. I just hope we don't drag out the GB transfer any longer than we have to. If he's going, get it done and lets get in our replacements as soon as possible, because we might be ok taking on Palace with 2/3 of our best squad, but if we go to the Emirates with a bunch of stopgap solutions it is not going to be pretty.

Bale is gone in my head, I'm just hoping we reinvest the money well.

The thing is though is that I'm hoping we get a talented and kind of slightly selfish wide man, someone who has a lot of confidence in their abilities. Will be very interesting as to who we may bring in and dare I say, exciting?

Arsenal had to replace RVP's goals and they did so. Think we will replace Bale's with Soldado, Chadli, Paulinho, hopefully Defoe gets some form, Siggy may chip in with a few here or there. Maybe even another striker.

I worry because of how poor we were without him in the side last season... We looked bereft of creativity and goals. And now we are expecting 2/3 new signings to hit the ground running and replace him? Another season of building I think, which is so frustrating as I feel if he gave us 1 more season we could of achieved something

I think Ghostofarmo's ITK has to be dependent on outgoings as well, although we're not hearing much ITK on them, there has to be more going on than we're aware of.

A lot of people on here have been suggesting that we can't do much with the GB money, as we have to take into account wages for new signings. This is a fair point, but with GB's wages off the books, and a couple of other high earners such as Parker, Perhaps Ade, maybe Defoe, we could almost disregard the wages we would be paying new players and consider the ninetyfive million or whatever almost as pure cash to spend on transfer fees.

A couple of high earners off the books and a couple of new signings on them, would leave our wage expenditure not too much higher than it already is. I mean, how much is GB on at the moment? His wages could conceivably cover those of two new signings.

The updates from Ghostofarmo and Mystery regarding Bale couldn't be any more conflicting.

Amazing that these two seem to be at the opposite end of each other, no idea who's actually legit in this case.

Resigned to him leaving now... I reckon the club maybe thinking its now or never to get this kind of money with FFP kicking in, just a thought.

For the 3rd time - wages will be paid through revex which will have a major boost due to TV deal.

Removing those wages helps of course

there is a big difference between Bale wanting to go and him actually going.........it rely's on a huge factor. Agreeing a fee and agreeing how that will be paid

Agree, it's always a high risk strategy trying to get 4 or 5 new top signings trying to blend into the team. But it seems like a strategy we are being forced to use, so we have no choice.

We just have to hope that at least a couple of our new signings bed in quickly. Hopefully Soldado hits the ground running, his goalscoring record has been incredibly consistent almost throughout his career, hopefully this on it's own will make up for the potential Bale goals, it seems all we need to do is get the ball in the box a few times each match and he will be there to finish it off. Fingers crossed.

Exactly Lamela and another player of his quality or I don't really see how we benefit from selling him, just Lamela and we're weaker than we are now as Bale's better than Lamela
