I have seen him quite a bit,but serious question, If he is as brilliant as people on here think then why are they selling him?

Because they have Marcelo.

You also have to consider Madrid are an elite Club and players who don't quite cut the grade for a long term future there, aren't necessarily deemed not good enough for other aspiring Clubs like ourselves - to the contrary they invariably attract a lot of interest. Not to mention any Club can sell a good player for a plethora of different reasons.

Case in point. How did you like VDV? :)

Think Coentrao is about is good as we could possibly hope for. I don't personally think replacing BAE is a priority but I'll trust AVB. If he has to go, I think snaring Coentrao would be a major coup.

But, can we just do one at a time please? Soldado por favor?!

Especially while the Goons & Scousers are arguing over who'll be apologising for Suarez next season.

Just to contrast it though we could also field a team with 10, so it isn't all bad.

A team of 10 Robbie Keane's..( I know he is Irish.)..just shows thought that getting quoted say £15m for a player from Wigan or getting a starter for Brazil you are left with a no brainer answer ..the fact we can now actually not just attract said Brazilian starter but actually buy him shows just how far we have come. End of the day for me spurs has always been that dare to dream mentality and my boys will grow up with the same healthy passion..I guess it is easier to dare to dream when we have Bale, Lloris and Verts instead of kerslake , tramazinni and ginger pele

Their Real Madrid, they do strange things.

Perez is so bitter that he's been wanting to sell Higuain for years simply because he was bought by the previous President.

There are lots of examples in recent years.

RM already lined up Granda LB Guilherme Siqueira as backup to Marcelo. They are just looking to cut the losses on Coentrao. I guess they want atleast 15m.

If we do a loan + buy option that would be great deal for everyone

Seriously?

You could also say why are RM selling Higuin?

Why did they sell VDV? Snejider? Robben? etc etc

RM are the original clowns of football, long before City and Chelsea were on the scene, they were collecting players at inflated places and selling them a huge losses in a short a space of time.

I don't think you can read anything into the fact that RM are selling him; except that he's tired of not getting first team football and wants to leave.

Also, as already stated we are not RM, in fact we are no where near. In many ways it would be like QPR saying - "why are Tottenham getting rid of Parker, if he's so good?".

Part of me is a little sad that we may soon field a team on one or two Brits...I know its modern day football and we move with the times and having lived through the dark days of dozzell, cundy and booth the future is looking lillywhite..just wish there was a modern day Paul Allen ( or simular ilk ) to balance it out..
I was thinking about that, and decided that.......I couldn't give a fuck.

Spurs first, last, and always - wherever the players were born.

If it wasn't for Cashley Hole, I'm 99% certain Mourinho would have signed him already. He's a big, big fan.

Paulinho, Chadli, Soldado and Coentrao... That's epic. Dammit - hopes building up again.

Great thing about Coentrao is he is just like Bale interms of turning defense into attack with his run. And he plays at times almost as a winger along the touch line and puts in some good crosses.

Didn't Jose say Rooney was their only target this summer as well ? Looks like we could be in prime position.
