Hertyid's line of reasoning fails when he assumes that Chelsea have a clue about how many attacking midfielders they need in a squad. They've bid for him so obviously they think they need another one.

Also can we stop including Moses in Willian's reasons not to go to Chelsea. All the others are roughly at Willian's level but Moses is rubbish and won't get a non-cup game all year.

if willian chooses chelsea over us, he's showing his true colours and i don't want his sort at tottenham if he's just a mercenary. we're looking to build a team here, you either want in to be a part of that. if you want a pay day, head to chelsea.

Not really, Willian is probably owned by Jorbachians investment group. I was digging around on the net yesterday and I couldn't find out for definite if he or if he us not, I was actually more inclined to believe he was not, but if he is then he has little or more likely absolutely no say where he plays or where he goes. Sad, sad state of affairs.

1st time posting on here after years of just reading.

I don't get why chelsea are in for Willian. They have Mata, Moses, De Bryun, Oscar,Hazard, Shurrle. That's 2 players for each of the 3 positions behind the striker. When will be getting game time.

The other thing is that last season we couldn't keep a clean sheet and we have not strenthen our defence. only have 3 recoignized cb's with 2 of them injury prone'. Its great that we are getting all these attacking players however if you keep clean sheets then you don't lose games. Simples.

I think We have strengthened the defence though by strengthening the midfield shield in front of the back Four

That is probably the closest thing to the truth and if Willian doesn't just tell Kia to fuck off and sign anyway I don't want the guy at Spurs.

You can't piss off that many ultra-rich people and expect no sort of repercussions, especially when you do most of your business in Brazil and other emerging economies.

What Hertyid says about Chelsea's potential interest sounds more like conjecture than knowledge. What he says is logical, but we ought to know by now that we cannot apply logic in its normal form when it comes to that parasitic club.

That said, in this instance they may not be acting quite as illogicaly as initially appeared. The theory that Chelsea want Willian to come in as a replacement for Mata so that they can exchange the latter for Rooney makes quite a bit of sense to me. That's about the only deal they could offer United that might be accepted imo.
