If Levy is to make an announcement on Bale then when can we expect it? Anybody know?

I'm pretty sure as soon as Bale lands in Madrid and realises they don't do chips he'll be straight back asking Uncle Daniel for another year in the UK.

Maybe he can take a suitcase full of tinned baked beans like ian rush did when he moved to italy

Hi Guys,

I am Bulgarian Spurs fan for 25 years and regarding Todor (the same name like mine ...Hodor :) ) Nedelev - he is attacking midfilder and can play as winger as well. He is very talented but definetely not ready to get Bale place in starting 11. I will be happy Spurs to buy him (not for 5 mil pounds but probably for 2 mil) and send to Holland ot Germany on loan. Nedelev needs to play regulary as he is the best Botev player and 100% starter so if sent to the recerves it may destroy his career.

welcome mate (y)

When hell freezes over.. .

Levy wont make a statement it will be left to avb to talk to the media. That is if he goes.

If POTL says he is going to (make a statement) then I am sure he will. I can't believe it will be reasons why we have sold him unless it is after the window has closed. If it is imminent, I can see it being a 'he's not for sale and he is under contract', anything else would have an impact on our purchases and future dealings.

The quality of the Bale deal depends on whether we can also bring in Coentrao. I have no idea why we want to do that deal separately. All it will do is give Madrid leverage to demand a massive fee for him, and then we'll have not strengthened the biggest weakness in our squad. Danny Rose is a nice squad option, but he isn't experienced enough or defensively solid enough to regularly start for a team pushing for top honors.

Left-back is also a position where there is limited quality on the continent. It needs to be a TOP priority to get this deal sorted, in my opinion.

Well one of the rumours with doing that deal separately was using the left over Modric money to do that since that hasn't been sorted, so RM wouldn't be demanding a massive fee for him and we could get him with the POSSIBILITY of also keeping Bale (as unlikely as that seems now)

I am going to come clean. Bale leaving is my fault.

Three times in my life, I've gone on and bought a jersey from one of my teams.

The first was when I bought a Glen Rice Heat jersey in the early 90s. He was traded to Charlotte less than a month later.

A couple of years ago, I bought a Brandon Marshall Miami Dolphins jersey...he was traded to the Bears less than 2 weeks later.

Before the window started, I bought a Bale jersey...and now it appears he's gone as well.

So yeah, my curse strikes again.

...hmm...maybe I should start a kickstarter to get money toward buying jerseys of teams I dont like. Maybe I'll get a Cazorla or Wilshere jersey next ;)

If it's any consolation, we've been very happy with Marshall although I do wish Cutler would throw to Alshon Jeffery a bit more to mix things up.

TBH if this all comes off (and that's a big if), I don't think he even has to. We will have upgraded pretty much everywhere we needed to, with the final piece of the puzzle being the left-back, which in turn may well be sorted by the Bale deal. Even though I am card-carrying BSoDL, even I did not expect the expert manner in which all of this has been done. I expected us to get Calum McManaman and a packet of Jaffa Cakes.

Hertyid on COYS

Hertyid was the one who rubbished that it was a done deal a while back, then mentioned it had all gone quiet recently.

I think his info dovetails pretty reasonably with JJ's - he's has been saying "not done deal but likely" and I think that is what has happened.

once Levy see's that Arsenal could capture di Maria and Benzema should Bale go then surely that's reason enough to double his price.

We've had lots of ITK stating that Willian is done, yet Kia seems to have the power to hold up the transfer/

Agents, you have to love them.
