It's a very good point actually. Our options could be huge in the summer, for a player really to complete with Kane and to take our time to get him. We need a back up in the horrible scenario Kane gets injured in next 4 months. He may not. What to do eh.

Give me Sandro or Dembele. Definite no on Berahino. Decent player but dont want that Ade sized ego and attitude any where this team.

Just put this in the Towsend thread by mistake, so will C&P it here

Another smallish update...........

Big Sam really wants to take Andros, and has lodged the most solid interest for him so far although others are sniffing. Told re the Striker situation... We know we are in need of a striker now but it is important we feel whoever we bring in January can hit the ground running, that means someone with experience of English football Dembele is being looked at.

Oh and Berahino is definitely still target if a deal can be worked out, MP does still want him!

You under estimate yourself - its not such a small update !

I like the idea of Dembele as a long term addition to the squad - but as cover for Kane for the rest of the season, if Dembele came we'd give him a few appearances but the majority of cover for Kane would still need to come from Son, Cameron, Dembele (with one 's') et al - I don't see Dembele as having the experience to hit the ground running in PL, unless he turns out like another Alli which is possible but not a common occurence

Pretty much the equivalent of a full season. Been in the country for ages, has played many more games at youth level, and doesn't need to relocate. So yep @millsey it does equate to being experienced in English football.
But surely he's not being brought in to replace Kane if he gets injured? A goal every 3 games in the championship, I've got Fulham mates who's say he's good but very very raw. He certainly wouldn't step in at City away and lead the line, we would put Son in. So what's the point now?

I don't know if we are looking at him as a back up to Kane all I was told was that we are seriously interested. As I said all along IMO SB is the most likely signing we will make this window. Dembele I would expect(me guessing) would be one for the future play a few minutes here and there and possibly in the lesser Europa/league cup fixtures. It definitely fits the clubs profile now. That said Alli as I have said since last January, was always bought to play this season. He's probably getting more minuets than initially expected, but he was bought very much to be part of the match day squad this season.

The guy who said Berahino acts like Adebayor. They are nothing like the same. Complete overreaction

Except they are both attitude problems who can potentially distrupt a side if they dont get their way.
Yes, a 22 yr old kid who's so far turned up late a couple of times and listed to headphones when he shouldn't, can upset a major club with 30 players and completely throw them off track and turn the club upside down. Ridiculas

You have me on ignore because you got offended over some post of mine over a fan of ours getting beaten up, just like we have done to other fans.

Drink driving and fist fights in the changing room too.

All of this he had when everyone on here wanted him in August and all had a paddy fit when we didn't get him on the last day of the window
Oh so then lets just completely forget about them then? Are you kidding? Fighting teammates and calling them shit is bad enough. But throw drunk driving into the mix? Come on, mate.
