But Pulis has effectively said he no longer features in his plans by constantly benching him. That makes him an under utilised asset and the cash could be spent on someone who fits TP's team profile.
Yes, but for a price. They may sell him cheaper than in the summer, but I doubt that will include to us!

some surprise itk from someone who we all know and trust i guess..

windy/windycoys/chris miller: Some ITK from me:
Townsend will most likely leave in Jan.
We might be giving up on Yahaya.
Charlie Owens and Zenon Stylianides are getting pro contracts.
I'd also heard about the Dembele link through a source who hadn't given me info before. [the fulham one i guess]

edit: from coys

Windy wasn't on the podcast this week, only his pre-recorded update that he gives each week about how our youth teams have performed. I guess it's possible if he's actually live with them all next week then he may well bring this up.

Also, to his credit regarding his Bender itk previously, he himself has never claimed to be "In the Know", he just occasionally hears some stuff and is happy to repeat it under the expectation that nobody takes it as gospel. Windy is just about the most genuine fan you'll find anywhere and would never make anything up for the sake of twitter follows or anything else.

hertyid: Soton and WHU are keeping tabs on Townsend. Would expect one of them.
Hope he doesn't go to West Ham. Not necessarily because I think he'd be a footballing revelation for them, but more because I wouldn't like to see a genuine Tottenham fan having to celebrate goals/wins for the Pikeys.

I know it's nearly impossible but if we could sign Vardy and Mahrez in Jan or next summer we would become instant title contenders... these two are the only players I think we should break the bank on!
even if we signed no-one in Jan but tied up those two for next season would be amazing.

Vardy and Mahrez are 100% not being sold in January.

Mahrez I'd be happy with, but one of the great things about this current team is there aren't many cocks in it. Vary is a great player and works hard for 90 minutes, but he's quite a nasty piece of work it seems and I'd rather have a team of players I like

Yahaya hasn't been seen at Hotspur Way for the last year.

Grey Fox ITK re the positive club atmosphere with real belief we can challenge for the title and real heartbreak if we don't even get top4.

The January window hangs in the balance of these December fixtures then, right? If we are as good as we can be, then bollocks, we better solidify that position. If lessons been learnt, we better have the scouts out in full force, the lawyers scouring every contract, to find any Pochettino players that can strengthen us.

We don't need to buy anyone in January, we still have attacking players like Pritchard, Onomah, Chadli that have barely played. We have Bentaleb, Mason, Winks who haven't played much and KWP, Wimmer at the back.

I'm not saying if a really top quality player was available we shouldn't go for them, but that is highly unlikely in January but what we don't need is more stocking fillers.

Good news on Stylianides, I was only talking about him a couple of days ago saying I've liked him every time I've seen him. He's quite rangy (not 6ft but for his age a decent height), athletic, dynamic, very tenacious and tough in the tackle but technically proficient CM. Think, young, greek Patrick Vieira type.

Not going to get too fussed about Yahaya. He may become a star. But then there is more chance that he may not make it in big time going by history of U17 players failing

Townsend won't/can't adapt his game IMO, he'll never fit in under poch. He just hasn't got a great football brain.
What type of player is Sterling, heard about him but never seen him play??

He's about 5"9 quick striker and can also play on the wings. I guess instantly what would make him appealing to Poch assuming this is true is that he is a very hard worker and presser. Kind of guy that even if he isn't having a good game he will track back and work for the team. I personally think he is going through a patch of bad form atm compared to last year and the start of this year. He has some learning to do. Raw is a cliché term but it's fair and understandable for someone of his age, 17 now.

As well as the positives above, the striker specific ones are that he has a good snap shot on him e.g. I've seen him back to goal and suddenly spin on the ball and hit it well and importantly is a good finisher. He can also shift and shoot it well. His link up play is decent with the one touch stuff. He can come short but also run in behind. I think his hold up play is decent but like I said at the moment I think he is struggling to get into games I can't quite figure out what he's doing wrong at the moment, and I also think he needs to add something to his game to beat a man. Even if it is just one trick. He can also strike a ball well with his weaker left foot. Last thing that comes to my head is that he is very brave and tenacious. I've seen him go for some brave headers and go through challenges and he isn't big at all, a real 100% player. Which shouldn't take away but add to the fact he is a good striker, but like I said he is in bad form at the moment and still needs to add something to his game. Good that Poch likes him.

I know this report jumps from one bit to another but I'm just writing what comes to my head.

Also when do I get ITK status? :pompous:

Good news on both tbh. Outside of CCV, Maghoma and Glover, those two deserve it.

Haven't seen enough of Owens (like the bits I've seen though - he played a lovely through ball for someone to score the other day), but have liked Stylianides from the first time I saw him in that Asian tournament.

Got to be honest and say, Sterling has never blown me away. I like his application and work rate and he's a pest, so I guess he could evolve into one of those Bellamy/Vardy types (no bad thing), but he's never struck me as having the brain/composure of someone like Harrison in the final third. I was a little surprised to hear @Breezer say he might be fast tracked TBH.
