Just shows exactly what the problem is, doesn't it? It's not just tactics and application (although it plays a big part), the players available simply aren't good enough.

There just aren't enough English players in the premier league any more. Until that changes or our young players start moving abroad to get game time then we're going to struggle.

my eyes hurt

surprisingly it seems if you cross a ball to the most prolific english forward he scores.

took them 94 minutes to work that one out

the paper aeroplane was well built though, touch of workmanship there..

After 60 minutes when I heard Ox's name mentioned. I thought fuck no, don't bring him on. How uninspiring!

Fucking shocked when I realised it was to sub him off.

christ your right - I was trying to work out who came off for Lingaard.

I honestly feel like Kane will drag this team through to a decent showing in the World Cup, he's that good.

England don't have to play well and Harry will be able to pop up with a goal

We won't keep clean sheets against half decent teams though.

It's not the players though is it? Wales showed everyone the way in the last Euro's that you don't necessarily need great players to succeed, you put a manager that the will respond to and a plan and you'd genuinely see better performances

He already plays for a massive club. One that will win trophies. No need to leave.
Lol. IT WAS A JOKE. A better one may have been:
Daily Mail headline - Kane too good for England. Could he be granted German citizenship within the next 6 months?

Can't go to a World Cup playing like that else we won't get out the group again.

The whole premier league plays 352. Should go with that.

True. And I know Wales don't have the most inspiring group of players either, but this England group feels particularly uninspiring bar Kane and to a degree Rashford.

That's true, but teams play differently against Wales than they do against England. Every team we play in qualifying sits back and just tries to make it difficult for us to score.

Yes, it would have been a better joke phrasing it that way. Sadly, there are some on here that would have those views!
