Where was the midfield? Three times the ball ran loose in front of the defence and they were nowhere to be seen. Hudson-Odoi switched off there as well, it has to be said. Rice is dawdling too having seen the replay.

We won't win shit with players like Keane. England need better centre backs and keeper
You read the Everton forums and they all state he is crap and shouldn't be anywhere near their starting 11.

We do. Keane is 4th or 5th choice CB and only playing because Stones and Gomez are both injured.

Of course the argument is that he should be 7th or 8th choice CB, England are producing loads of technically gifted players but too few proper defenders these days. Long gone are the days of Ferdinand, Terry, ****bell, King, Carragher and Woodgate.

Why have a go at the manager for picking our players? He's going to pick the best team available.

All the moaning on here about our players getting selected for England is getting really boring.

To be fair nobody is moaning about Rose or Kane playing as that is totally understandable but risking both Dier and especially Dele after such a long lay off is rightly annoying people.

But even stones and gomez are not elite level. England need to match Belgium and France and both those nations have much better backline

A cm3 with both Alli and Barkley is asking for trouble. Neither press particularly well, nor are they great positionally, and with the ball both want to do their own random thing. Ridiculous amount of space through our midfield so far.

Lovely set piece. Huge height on it and Keane was always getting there first.

Almost makes up for his shit defending.
