Joe Cole - he basically said there are people better qualified to discuss "geopolitics" than England fans booing Henderson.

I thought that might be the case, but I couldn't get my head around him talking about geopolitics.

Shocking from the crowd here, not surprised though.

I'm not sure what they expected. The moment of silence was for "lives lost among the European football family" which includes Israel but not Gaza. It seemed like a weirdly specific message when they could've said something much more general (especially if the reports that Israel has just killed 500+ civilians by bombing a hospital are true).

You realise how utterly conservative Southgate drills England after a few games under Ange. No bravery other than a few. You could say patient, but it’s just a flat set up.

Did not notice their wording. Backtracking on the FA’s more balanced statement.

I love Gary’s outfit. Like he’s asked his mum for the Miami vice look and instead she’s knitted him a Tshirt and give him his grandads old suit jacket.

Same old then. Trippier at left back, Pickford and Maguire start. So creative Southgate. Looking forward to the triumphs of the Euros.

Yeah the message on the big screen specifically mentioned Sweden and Israel. It seemed deliberately antagonistic, like they've gone too far the other way after the criticism of their decision not to light up Wembley in Israel's colours the other day.

Looks like Udogie is playing LB when Italy attack but LCB when defending.
Terrible pass to him for the booking.

One of those games where while I want England to win I would love Udogie to be MoTM.

It would be interesting to know if the wording of the minute’s silence was drafted by the FA or UEFA. It was very naive to think the crowd would be fine with it, and it’s shame because a more general statement would’ve led to a well observed silence.
