It's not supposed to be idiotic either.

For example, a few months ago they were taking the piss out of Defoe. Because he had said he wants to be number 1 striker, and saying what a good pro Friedel was, because he is happy to be number 2. Well that kind of logic is inane to the very core. You need your players to want to play and fight to be the best in the team. Suggesting that Defoe should just take the cash and accept sitting on the bench is diametrically opposed to what we need, and all fans should have the common sense to realise that.

I may be getting my episodes mixed up but I thought they were unhappy with Defoe maoning to the press again rather than the fact that he wanted to play.

The guys on there certainly aren't idiotic (although sometimes they can get a bit over-excited), but they aren't experts either. Like Flav says a few posts above yours they are just a group of mates sitting around having a few beers, talking football and they generally do a very good job of entertaining us.

It's all opinions, they come over as very childish to me.

As for Defoe he was asked about his position in the team, he has to say he is going to fight to get a regular place etc. It's stupid to expect anything else, but these numpties criticised him for it, and used Friedel as a good example.
