I cant see us letting Dele, Ndombele and Lo Celso leave without having more than one (Bentancur) replacement lined up. I know they dont play much but even playing only 2 CMs thats cutting it a bit fine. I would imagine we have a few deals lined up in case we can shift all three. Gravenburch for Bergwijn and cash pretty please.

This has been said a few times in here already, with people views on why it might not be the case...

Poor Amrabat got a complete slating on here, never even joined
Sounds like money saved on all sides then - and the negative nellies got to be negative all whilst he was still on Fiorentina's books. An excellent result.

I don't think today's even warmed up yet.

The CM isn't the creative part of the team in Conte's system.

I know this isn’t the ideal thread ,but just by way of response, I’m really not sure where this myth has come from.

Yes, he likes functional hardworking midfielders, but that doesn’t mean he actively wants a midfield completely lacking real ball players or creativity.

At inter the midfield three of Brozovic Eriksen and Barella was exceptionally technical, with a range of passing styles and a real ability to chip in with goals . At Chelsea Fabregas was a key player after taking a little while to settle into the system. This idea that he doesn’t like technical midfield players is completely unfounded imo.

Also, it’s all well and good saying creativity should instead come from the WBs , but if that’s the case then why haven’t we upgraded on Emerson or Doherty, neither of whom are good enough?

Yeah we’re done for incomings aren’t we, concentrating on outs.

Happy with the 2 incomings though.

Donated 30£ - felt like high time to pitch in after enjoying this forum for a good bunch of years now.

Thanks to the staff's good work and the ITKs for enduring all the negativity thrown their way and still posting.

If he had that option he'd likely use it. Barella, Eriksen, and Fabregas all added goals, assists, and creativity. It wouldn't hurt us to have one as an option.

If we are going 343 we will probably see 2 hard working cm's rather than creative.
He could play Kulusevski as one of the 3. We will just need to see

Thanks to all the ITK,'s and mods. Very positive stuff that we may move dele, tanguy & Gio out today. This sends a message out to the squad that Conte will not tolerate players he doesn't want or he believes he cannot trust. This will be a boost to squad morale overall in my opinion - work hard and he will back you, don't and you are gone. Also shows a big sign the club are backing AC, these 3 should be in theory our starting midfield - yet all are being bombed out. COYS

Can't see RWB happening, otherwise surely we would have looked to move on Doherty. Pretty clear Traore was more Paratici than Conte so maybe he is happy to stick for now, and target a real upgrade the summer.

Pretty glad the Amrabat move was just a back-up, (also glad the player saves some face too, with the old he won't be allowed to leave this late announcement).

If we get rid of Ndombele, Lo Celso and Dele I think that would be fantastic and a sign that we really are finally listening to the manager. Mourinho and Poch were let down by the club who refused to take a hit on the players causing problems. You just can't work like that when the team mentality and culture is everything.

I really have no problem if we don't bring more numbers in, we are in two less competitions for the remainder of the season and have the squad to cope. Imagine how refreshing it will be to approach the all important summer window with the dead-wood already moved on. Hell, we might even do some early business...
