Another excuse doing the rounds is ..

"Braga played in a kit similar to Arsenal's home colours and they were confused for a lot of the game"

This from The Guardian online comments last night ..

I thought Arsenal played really well. Closing down , tackling , creating chances and inducing their opponents into several reckless challenges.

Then I realised it was Sporting Braga who were playing in the gooner kit, and that Arsenal were in fact shit.

Braga played with the same ball as the Goons, which let to some confusion in the ArseScum ranks:grin:

Didnt they make 7 changes yesterday? Who exactly is it that is too tired?

Insofar as I can tell, this fixture pile-up which they have and we don't comprises of the Carling Cup, which has included to a grad total of how many extra games since we went out:shrug: Also, surely this would be offset by the fact that we had to play in the qualifying round of the CL:shrug:

Wenger has always been an ungracious whinger. Even some of the pundits who have heaped praise on him in the past are beginning to get fed up with him at last.
He is moaning about Bragea going unpunished for bad tackles - 5 Arsenal players were booked. Against Man City 4 Arsenal players were booked in the first 35 minutes yet he still goes on about teams not letting them play and Refs not helping them. Denilson and Song are two of the dirtiest players in the league, continually commiting petty fouls and worse.
Which Premiership team has collected the most disciplinary points this season - Arsenal

He said Arsenal had no special plans for handling Bale when it was obvious what they had planned when their players started chopping him down. Dishing it out without taking it again Wenger?

Always aggravates me when I see a manager play the fixture congestion card. Any manager. Trying to win more than one trophy, by playing numerous matches, is meant to be bloody difficult. That is why it is an achievement when it is done. Things should not be re-arranged to allow any top club to vacuum up trophies. Including Spurs.

The amount of games we have played must be pretty much identical to the scum, its just the usual complaints from them. Some of his comments last night were truly pathetic - great manager but disgusting person.

Perhaps fatigue may have had something to do with it. However, I am sure Arse fans and owners are increasingly asking themselves why they have gone 6 seasons without a title. The obvious answer would be the financial constraints (were there any?) imposed by the development of their new ground. Surely part of the blame falls on Wenger for not building a team with sufficient experience and determination. The have consistently shown themselves to bottle it when asked to deliver. Wenger himself said after the derby game "you have to deliver.....above all that hurts the most".

Perhaps time is running out for him and hopefully our victory at the weekend will help towards him leaving these shores for good.

Actually, I think the sums add up to this:
Same amount of games in EPL;
Same amount of games in group stages of CL;
Games in CC = 1 game more the Goons;
Games in qualifying round of CL = 2 games more for Spurs.
Net games played = 1 more for Spurs.

So, in Obscene's grand unifying theory of all things as to why we beat them it is because of their fixture congestion of 1 game less than us. Obviously, when they called him the Professor they weren't thinking Mathematics Department:duh:

Therefore he has his excuses wrong.
It's obviously because we started our season earlier with the CL qualifiers we're fitter than them.

Arsenal didn't loose because they didn't play for ninety minutes, or because of fatigue, I thought we were more ragged in the last 20 minutes to be honest. They lost just because football does that sometimes, and because they didn't defend well three times. Defoe winning a header, Fabregas's ludicrous decision and the third was just one of those goals that happens sometimes, a beautifully flighted free kick finds the head of the attacker positioned serendipitously betwixt two very close marking players, and that player leaps like a more leapy salmon than they do.

We didn't out play arsenal, we didn't even out battle them really, but our CB's were better than theirs and we got the breaks. It's just like the eighties in reverse.

I lost count of the number of times in the 80s when we murdered yet always seemed to manage to lose.
