Kessie, De Vrij and Dybala would all be free transfers that join new teams in July. Who knows if Paratici is already got some of those lined up for us. Kessie is at the ACN anyway.

Players joining us now will be purchases, and I’m sure Conte and Paratici will bring in at least two players based on the ITK.

De Vrij has a contract until 2023.

Im not a fan of Traore although I appreciate he has some attributes that would serve a purpose in our team. More than anything, he will give our squad and team and performances a bit of a spark that we have been missing. We are stale so his introduction into our team would be advantageous and at 20m.

I do wonder what hold up is this window. Conte and Paratici have both mentioned the squad not being at the required level, and yet, we see no movement. There are currently bargains to be had due to contracts, players that would improve us, and still no movement from us. It does seem like we are holding back in case we are forced to move for our top target, DV. Therfore £10million here, £12million there, £5million etc all adds up to the significant amount for one top player. I know there has been talk of the shares and cash coming in, but surely, if we wanted to, we could pull the trigger for Kessie/De Vrij/Traore/Dybala etc etc?
Dušan Vlahović doubt will be coming to Spurs as his agents want 15 million Euros signing on fee plus a 10% sell on clause.. this is in addition to the 60 million Euros for the transfer fee from Fiorentina. The demands have led to other clubs cooling their interests apparently...

Is that not kind of normal tho? You’d expect agents to want to make money, but I’d guess that’s their starting price, no? Paratici also said recently that sometimes you have to pay the amount required to get the right player. It’s business.

I wouldn't be surprised if we already have an alternative lined up to Traore. We were linked with Tomiyasu for ages, seemed certain we would get him and then from nowhere we signed Emerson. No links to him or anything. Same for Gil for that matter after being linked with the likes of Damsgaard. There are deals we just don't find out about until they are at an advanced stage.

We need someone who is comfortable out wide, very quick and can dribble the ball and carry it upfield as well as threaten opposition defenders.

I don’t think Nandez is the answer at all. Would be another poor signing that doesn’t suit what we need.
We should sign Steven Bergwijn

I think asking for the 10% sell-on clause is the issue and a little unusual.. agreed sign-on fee would probably be normal

We have scouts at Sassuolo/ Verona game. No idea who that might be for.

I believe in Italy they list what scouts are present.

Let's hope he's a better human than his dad and grandad.

Blimey just read up. Not sure levy would want anything to do with that sort of family. Will have a horses head at the end of his bed if he did the dirty on the player.

Looking back over our last decade of January transfers, i just can't see any chance of signing anyone other than Traore to be fair. The January transfer window is traditionally quiet for all clubs, and with Covid sweeping back in again i just can't see Levy spending heavy this month.

But hey, this could be a different situation now, if Conte and Paratici have identified truly open transfer targets.?
