Would you prefer it the way it is, with 2 draws, 2 points and the un-beaten run intact, or

one win, one defeat, meaning more points but lose the unbeaten run?

Depends, losing to Chelsea would have meant that they'd be 2 points higher up whereas we would only be 1.

They'll still be in the hunt for top 4, without a doubt.

I prefer our current position, mainly because I expect us to pick up the wins that will take us into the top four. Going so long unbeaten is a big deal for a young side learning and growing together. As much as it's a cliche there are no easy games in the PL. 14 matches unbeaten and a pretty healthy points tally and goal difference is not to be sniffed at.

A point off the current champions and another off a team that's taken points off top four teams, will do just fine thanks.

Keep the unbeaten record. We are still close to the top pack, we need to be more clinical though

Can't change it so who cares?

Let's just hope we can kick on. I think IF we can start anywhere near the top it's going to be a really exciting 2nd half of the season as there seem to be no bankers in the PL anymore.

3 points instead of 2, obviously. Any other answer must surely be the result of reading too much into the question.

Far too clever an answer for this message board

Let's put it another way

Over a 38 game season would you like to:

have 50 points?
have 60 points?
have 70 points?

We could get so concerned about our undefeated record
we might start parking the bus.
Next up is 22 games undefeated in 1949
and who remembers that without googling it.
You could go a whole 38 game season without losing
and still get relegated.

Points points points.
And what do points mean.

Exactly.

If they'd beaten us and Bournemouth, I'd agree, but they only got a point. They've lost too many games and don't seem to have enough goals in the team to mount a challenge for top 4 anymore. They'll be lucky to get 6th at this rate (even Mou is talking Europa now).

Personally im more than happy with the unbeaten run we are on and who wouldnt be, the only thing it has shown is that we need someone else in addition to kane in turning some of these draws into wins.

Yeah I think that Bournemouth result was a step too far.

We need to be much more solid in defence were getting into that old habit again of conceding goals.

I think our unbeaten record is good practice for our young players. The next step is for them to be in a higher league position ie 1st 2nd 3rd..... Im not at all amused by the media sensational 4th position.

Not necessarily. The psychological impact of a loss, or, alternatively, an unbeaten run - is unquantifiable. It could be that remaining unbeaten is a vital confidence boost.

As above, what if Chelsea dicked on us winning 10-0 then we beat WBA with a freak own goal off someone's arse in the 7th minute of injury time despite having only 10% possession against them.. would that really be better long term than 2 draws? Instead we stopped Chelsea getting momentum back into things and this weekend made up one point on a few teams around us even if we dropped 2 to a couple. Not quite worth all the hand wringing and knee jerking from certain posters in my opinion.

Look at the bin dipper result today, at the moment anyone can beat anyone except nobody has been beating us.. and it's not so long since we dismantled a hyped-up West Ham team in great style so let's hold off tieing the noose just yet??
