Here's the big one...

Liverpool v Tottenham (17:30 GMT)
Liverpool's 3-2 defeat against Southampton after leading 2-0 pretty much summed up how things have been under Jurgen Klopp.

There is lots of promise and you can see green shoots of recovery and then something happens to make you go 'whoa, hold on a minute'.

When I was a player in the 1980s, when Tottenham had to cross the Watford Gap you used to just forget about them - they used to get beaten a lot when they travelled north.

There is no way you would describe them as soft touches on the road under Mauricio Pochettino, though.

They have strength and steel as well as ability and I don't think they will come away from Anfield empty handed.

Would a draw be enough for their title hopes? With Leicester playing on Sunday, I think they would take a point and see what happens.

Pochettino is not going to go all out for a win because that would play into Liverpool's hands, and I think avoiding defeat will be his priority. If they don't win, then they are still in contention.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

James' prediction: (Saul) Jurgen Klopp is probably still screaming at his Liverpool players for letting that lead slip against Southampton. I think they will beat Spurs. 2-1

I think that's effectively Lawro saying he thinks we'll win. There's more chance of getting a hand job off the queen than there is of Lawrenson predicting us to beat Liverpool.

And so, Liverpool have still only lost one game all season in Lawro world, and our goal difference is -3.

Honestly how he gets paid for this is laughable.

Edit sorry the -3 is how many places out our real position is to Lawros world position. Not the goal difference.

He's actually got our GD as +17.

A bit like British boxers fighting in europe had to knock out their opponent to get a draw?

But that's a debate for another thread.....

In fairness to Lawro, he won't predict anyone to beat Liverpool.

People who make predictions make them as near to the event as possible to allow for any variations that might impact their forecast. Yet Lawro writes his predictions on a Thursday when there's barely been any news about who might have been injured in training, who might be in the squad etc.

Why is that?

One school of thought has it that Lawro just picks scores based on how good a team were in the 80s and so it doesn't really matter whether Harry Arter, say, will be playing, on the bench or out of the squad because Bournemouth are playing Liverpool and will therefore lose.

However, there is another school of thought that Lawro has a 'thing' about Fridays. He won't work on a Friday, he won't play football on a Friday, he won't go to TGIs, he won't read Robinson Crusoe etc. I did a little research as to why this might be and, as always, Wikipedia was my friend. Apparently, it dates back to 29 October 1977, a match between Cardiff City and Brighton, and an opposing player by the name of Robin Friday. The link to the whole page follows, but I've cut and paste the relevant section. I don't condone physical violence, but, with his second action, I think it's fair to say that Robin Friday was a true visionary, realised then what we all know now and acted accordingly.

"Friday was marked during the game by Mark Lawrenson, who so frustrated the Cardiff forward with his close attention that Friday waited for Lawrenson to attempt a slide tackle and then kicked him in the face. After receiving a red card, Friday left the ground with the game still going on; according to legend, before leaving he broke into the Brighton dressing room and defecated in Lawrenson's kit bag."

I remember the next day's headline above a pic of an outraged Lawro holding up the bag, "Sack of shit finds sack of shit!"

Tottenham v Man Utd (16:00 BST)
After dropping a couple of points last week - albeit at Anfield (couldn't help himself could he :ROFLMAO:) - Tottenham simply have to win this game.
I think they will. Manchester United got a great result against Everton but if their manager Louis van Gaal admits the Toffees were the better side and deserved something from the game then you know his side were outplayed.

United are back in London on Wednesday night for their FA Cup quarter-final replay against West Ham, which I think will be on their mind at the weekend.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Stoke v Tottenham (20:00 BST)

Stoke lost heavily at Anfield last week after drawing 2-2 with Swansea, but there is no way their manager Mark Hughes will just let things fizzle out after another really good season.

I still fancy Tottenham to win here, though. I was really impressed with them against Manchester United, not simply the fact they won 3-0 but because United looked bright and sharp early on yet never looked like scoring.

It was hard to see Spurs getting a grip on the game, so they were relying on their defence, but then it just happened for them at the other end.

That is why they are such a good side - they have players who can turn games around in a second.

Any other year, we would be saying they are the best team in the league, but Leicester look like beating them to the title.

Lawro's prediction: 0-2

Idris Elba's prediction: "How would I feel if Tottenham win the title? I would be physically ill. Literally, I would be throwing up. Against Stoke, Spurs will have them, but I think it will be a good game." 3-2

But crucially do Liverpool continue their unbeaten season, Lawro? Do they????

West Ham avoiding relegation by a point hahah what a buffoon. Meanwhile, the actual champions finish 12th below and actual relegated team
