There's definitely a few young managers in the PL -Silva, Howe, DeBoer, Pellegrini - that we should be watching closely incase Poch Doomsday ever happens...
Shame that Silva put himself in a situation where its 99.9% likely he'll be sacked at the end of the season

Overheard a couple of Palace fans chatting at the weekend. They have no faith in De Boer at all and are genuinely concerned.

Yeah i work with a guy who is a Palace supporter. He thought FdB was the wrong signing because Palace don't have the type of players he needs and don't have a great academy. He has no confidence in the club at the moment to do the right thing.

On holmesdale.net they are having a lively debate as to whether (in the event that FDB is sacked) that the job should go to Big Sam, little Sammy or Roy Hodgson.

It's a shame we don't play palace until november, now would be a great time to play them.

I think the only reason Palace haven't sacked De Boer yet is because they don't want the embarrassment of sacking him so early and admitting how much they've ballsed up. He's so clearly not the right man for the job it's only a matter of time.

Looks like you were right - he's just been sacked.

Since the summer of 2014 when half our fan base were up in arms because we hired the Southampton manager with no trophies to his name ahead of the "proven" option in De Boer, he has won no trophies, spent the next two seasons finishing behind PSV in the league (including one by 17 points), resigned from Ajax and has been sacked from two new clubs in two new countries with after managing them for a combined total of 19 games in all competitions for them.

Also probably worth noting that Benitez who was the other main contender that people wanted, has also resigned from one job been sacked by another and has been relegated.

Four games?!? FOUR games??

Absolutely ridiculous decision by the Palace board.
Granted, the only other team that has yet to score this season is Oadby Town in the United Counties League Premier Division (186 places below Palace), but from what I read, they should have taken the points yesterday.
Not De Boer's fault if a defender has a brain fart in the opening 3 mins, and then a player misses an open goal in the final minute.

Hodgson taking the reigns... Going to go from bad to worse for Palace fan.

Agree that it's a stupid decision to sack him, but I think they'll be better off with someone like Hodgson in the short term.

Palace clearly weren't committed to what De Boer was trying to do and should never have appointed him in the first place.

The fact that their two options to begin with were De Boer and Hodgson shows that they had no idea what they were doing anyway.

Frank, we want you to overhaul or club over the next 5 year....sorry i meant five minutes.

My brother is a season ticket holder at Selhurst and is frankly embarrassed by Parish and the way they have conducted themselves. Roy Hodsgon lolololol....hope they are paying for his care home and Alzheimer meds whilst he takes charge.

On the face of it the de Boer sacking is nuts, which makes me think there must be more to it than simply losing 4 games. The feedback to the Palace board from the training ground and around the club, and from the playing staff must have been bad.

de Boer was sacked after 85 days at Inter, and now 77 at Palace. That can't simply be about on-pitch stuff.

Awful isn't it. Parish does need to hold his hands up on this one.

Quite like Palace as a club but they deserve to be relegated for their lack of faith in trusting their decisions. You should be aware of the pitfalls when appointing a coach/manager who is going to completely change the style of play.
