He's done very poorly there so far, but 11 games is ludicrous considering he didn't even join until late in the Summer.

He should have stayed in his easy-seat at Ajax really.

Moyes next out? To be closely followed by Allardyce back in by the sounds of things. Sunderland must have been through more managers than us in recent times.

The Sunderland supporters are interesting to watch. Originally they were saying something to the effect of "Moyes is who we wanted for ages, we might have signed him even if it meant sacking Sam. Even if we go down we are going to keep him and let him build for the future."

Now they seem overwhelming be saying "Moyes was the best available that we could get, we never wanted to get rid of Sam to start with."

Unfortunately for them I don't even think Sam will keep them up. They are sinking fast.

They do seem to be the next Charlton/Bradford/Bolton. If they go down they'll be like a rock dropping down the leagues.

At what stage is Ellis Short going to cash out and realise his tenure has been a disaster and they've survived this long in the PL not by merit but instead fluke and teams like Villa being in excistentce

He may not have done too well, but it's way too early to fire him. He took charge 12 days before his first competitive match. Barely had any time to get to know the players, train with them, or even decide who he wants to use as part of his vision for the club. The club are being ignorant if they excepted instant success using this model. He needed a season to test out the squad and try a few things. It would be another frustrating year of transition, but one that could pay off in the long run. Mancini made that team Mourinho-esque, in the way that it was very well organised defensively but lacked real bite going forward. He wanted to change that mentality and it was going to take time to do so. He needed a season and a summer of his own signings and a full pre-season. If, by this time next year, he doesn't do anything, then not many would complain about the sacking. I loathe Inter, absolutely detest them, so I feel sorry for de Boer. He may not have restored them to being one of the top dogs, but given time he'd have at least put them on the right track I reckon.

His forward planning has been non-existent. I agree, you can only roll the dice so many times

Its funny that moyes was the guy fergie thought would continue United's dominance or did he intentionally set him up.

Fucking idiotic way to run a football club. Appoint a manager a few days before the season, give him eleven games, their main (tosser) striker causes a shitstorm by slagging off the ultras in his memoir, the sack him.

Why do you loathe Inter, @Syn_13 ?

I'm a Juventino, it's pretty much the done thing. We fucked up with Calciopoli, no arguments there. We culled our board and started fresh to build a new reputation, unlike Milan, Fiorentina etc.

Inter were the ones who pulled the strings. They were just as deep in shit as anybody else but played their hand well. Waited for their match fixer to pass away, cleaned up their evidence and ultimately came out with 2 free titles and a few years of unchallenged success. I'm glad to see them struggle now.

I feel sorry for phelan then I remind myself that he will get a few quid out of it.

What was expected of him with that shite squad.

Mike Phelan sacked, lot quicker to sack him than giving him the job in the 1st place
