They looked pretty friendly with their Spurs Christmas jumpers on! :)

Poch won't be going anywhere. He's said countless times he's happy at Tottenham, including as recently as a few days ago. There is no point in him stating it over and over again.

Southampton was a completely different situation. Although it was a fair while ago and my memory is shocking (even without the amount of pain meds I'm on) but I don't think the media was this frantic and this driven to push Poch out the door. From what I recall, Saints were selling off their assets and breaking promises made to Poch. If Cortese went, so would he. Which is what happened.

What gets me here, is I don't think United have even opened talks and yet the media claim they have done and it's 100% nailed on to be Poch. The SSN reporter even openly admitted this will go on for months. It's a disgrace.

Starting to think he will go now. Utd knew they were going to sack jose and would have a good idea who their next manager would be. Blanc and zidane were both available so it wont be them as they got a caretaker in. Both have good records. So it is either someone more successful or poch. If mitchell joins them as dof or head of recruitment i think that's it. Feared this in the summer when we got nobody. Poch must look at it that it will be years before the stadium is paid and we can start spending decent money on players. All the while chelsea, arsenal and utd will be strengthening let alone city and liverpool. It will take a miracle just for us to remain in the cl, let alone win cl or prem.

Really hope i'm wrong.

Although saying that they still have to negotiate with levy, which i doubt they're looking forward to.

Crumb of comfort could be found in that Conte can't take a job this season due to his on going wrangling with Chelsea, Zidane is on a year sabbatical and currently doesn't speak English....didn't Poch have some sort of falling out with Mitchell when he was with Spurs?

I’ve just watched The debate with les Reid and tbh it was poch/united heavy but it was a decent debate.

Recommend having a watch

Not sure if it was him or levy that had the falling out. Thought it was because levy was ignoring his recommendations. He did say he was disappointed he'd left.

You could be right, I thought somewhere in the depths of my mind that JJ said it was Poch & Mitchell.....

I think once we get into the stadium for real things will feel very, very different.

Not least Poch, the players and fans, but also I think the wider footballing community will be blown away by the stadium.

The landscape could be very different in two months time. Conceivably we'll be into the new stadium and :

- about to entertain Dortmund in a great European night in our new home

- hopefully heading for a final in the Caraboa Cup

- and still in contention in the title race

I dont give a shit how many times I hear that United are the biggest Club in the World.

In the here and now we look much the better Club, and our immediate future looks eminently more exciting.

Couple those factors with Pochettino's character and loyalty, and I'm starting to relax a lot more.

Irrelevant

So the fact they have won, and continue to win, major trophies isn't A) a factor in them as a club thinking they can just take our manager, because winning honours gives you status, and B) it not being a huge pull for any manager in world football to go to them?

We are absolutely on to something with how we have progressed and continue to progress. No doubt. What is actually irrelevant though is that they have declined to the point that currently we have a much better squad. Its irrelevant because, and I will say it again, they have won the FA cup, League cup and Europa League in the last 4 years and are a far far far bigger club than we are.

What Poch needs to do to put it to bed, is state he is not going anywhere.. It’s taken us 20yrs to come this far if we loose Poch it would be devastating for our club and also some of the players will go. It would be catastrophic for our Spurs!!! Until he comes out and says them words if fear he will go. A big indicator also if UTD get Paul Mitchell in then we will know the answer. Hope I’m wrong but I think it’s done COYS

There is nothing for Poch to comment on. Manchester United have not made an approach. Its just speculation from the gutter press buddy. Enjoy the season because we are going great in the league in a semi-final and in the last 16 of the champions league. Just enjoy

I watched the whole presser as I usually do (what?) and it was probably my favourite Poch presser. The press officer will get the plaudits and attention and righty so but Poch’s use of the word “top” 27 times in the first two minutes was legendary

Maybe not an official approach but don't kid yourself that it is not coming at season's end. There is a reason every major United talking head in the media is pushing Poch as the best choice narrative. That's not just them shooting from the hip but a calculated effort to tap him up and hit on the talking points of "United being a project" with emphasis on attractive football and bringing up their youth.

It's just a bunch of Utd fans trying to 'sell' Utd to Poch. I doubt he'll buy it though. He'll have heard it all before pretty much for the last few years. They'll push and push to get him and I can't blame them. They'll fail though. Again.

The Argentine said it has been a source of frustration that choices made in the transfer market and regarding tactics have frequently been criticised before anyone has seen the results.

"We signed him one-and-a-half years ago from Southampton and the perception was, 'Oh we cannot introduce the player [as our first summer signing] because it looks like we don't have ambition.'

I just watched the presser, what happened when the press guy told them to switch the cameras off - did they chuck the **** out? It was so sinister haha
