I'll be staying up to watch the draft, as a long suffering Titans fan, it's one of our rare moments in the spotlight. Still have no idea what we're gonna do with the 2nd pick.

Mariota, assuming Bucs take Winston.

Williams the DE

Trade the pick to the Chargers for Rivers + picks, as has been rumoured.

Trade the pick to the Browns for their two 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick, or the Jets.

It's a case of hoping you don't miss out on a franchise QB if you trade.

I think the rumored trade with the Eagles would yield the most for the Titans. 2 high draft picks and 2 defensive starters. The Titans literally stopped trying in a lot of their games last year and they can use as much talent as they can get. Look at Jacksonville; they have a young QB they are confident in but their roster is so decimated due to mismanagement of the roster that they are going to suck during his developmental years and may never see him reach his potential. I am a firm believer that the success of a player is largely down to where he lands and a top defense can take so much pressure off a QB as to decide whether he is a success or a bust. So take those picks and those players and then think about finding your QB.

I'm also not big on Mariota but that's another story.

I am pretty keen to see what Mettenberger can do with a better O-Line in front of him. Most of the Titans fanbase seem to feel the same, which is a surprise. I'd have thought the majority would want a shiny new 1st round QB.

You're right, we desperately need to patch holes in the roster. Going from 7 to 10 picks could help somewhat solve DE, Edge, WR, RB, OT issues we have. But then the fear must be there for the management about possibly missing out on a QB who could lead the team for the next decade. It seems like Mariota and Winston are the best QB's in a bad year, but you just never know.

It's an interesting problem, and I'll be fascinated to see if we get some trade offers at the last minute. The Browns have 2 good 1st round picks we could take, if they don't think Johnny Football is the answer at QB. Which he surely isn't.

Dion Jordan has been suspended for the season after another failed drugs test. He actually tampered with his sample, but it's the same thing. Amazing how people can just throw away an opportunity of a lifetime.

I'll be staying up for the draft too. Hoping Miami gets one of the top 3 receivers or Gurley.

The titans havent had a qb since mcnair so i think there is definitely some pressure to have a franchise player there, but i think the pressure may be even greater in philly and cleveland. Philly because its philly and also because chip may lobby hard to land his former qb. Cleveland has even more working against them: rabid fanbase, championship drought, missed out on rg3, unsecure head coach, plus a lot of bad 1st round picks to atone for. I can see the front office in cleveland saying fuck it, we need this guy, and throwing you guys a great deal. The titans can play the two teams against each other and if they dont like the deals offered, hey you got a nice shiny new qb there. Though i have a sneaking suspicion the chargers could move in on draft day or even after. Rivers does not want to play in los angeles under any circumstances and it looks like thats where the chargers are headed. Nice spot for the titans to be in.

Chip Kelly has nothing to offer us, unless he can trade Sam Bradford.

I think we're a bit gun shy after Young and Locker being busts. If we can't trade away the 2 pick, then we have to pick Mariota. It's worse to pass on a franchise QB, than pick someone who turns out badly. Because we'd still have Mett to fall back on, who I like a lot actually.

I agree. I think Mettenberger can be successful for the Titans. Maybe even a Matt Schaub level performer which can be valuable for them if they can get a great haul of picks for this number two to get a deep and talented roster.

Thank God Sky have handed over to the NFL Network. I thought we were going to have Jim White breaking down the draft picks.

We're taking Mariota. Feel a bit sorry for Mett, but I guess a decent trade offer never materialised and you have to take this guy.

Will be fun to see how he develops for us now.

Much more quiet draft this year as compared to last year.

I'm confused by the Colts selection in Phillip Dorsett, WR, Miami (FL). I guess we're gonna follow the Colts, and Spurs, way and just not care about defense and try to score all the points we can.

I honestly thought they would trade out of it. Surprised they didn't. I like Tennessee well enough, better than the Texans for sure, and I'd like to see them playing well again so I hope he pans out for yall

Yup, WR was an odd choice for the Colts, even though Dorsett is supposed to be talented, your D surely requires more attention.

Day 2 will be interesting, plenty of good players left on the board. Seems like loads of them have question marks around their off-field issues. That being said, I'd like to see the Titans take Gregory or DGB who both really good. Unless we trade back for extra picks, which is more possible here than in the 1st round.

Interesting that Vikings have loaded up on defensive players with their first 3 picks. With Mike Zimmer as coach if they can get the right tools in place then they could end up having one of the most formidable defensive units in the league. Also, the fact they haven't gone for any offensive picks in the first 3 rounds suggests they really believe that Adrian Peterson will still be in Minnesota when the season starts.

*Apologies if I'm talking bollocks - I am anything but an expert!

Deflategate report came out. Patriots fan delusion is kicking into high gear again. Looks bad for Brady.

Personally, i couldnt give a shit about any of this so called cheating(i mean, who cares about their balls pressure being 1 psi below the lowest accepted range. does it actually make a difference? doubt it. Patriots won by about 40) but the massholes are insufferably delusional thinking nothing wrong happened and everyones out to get them.
