I think Brady and Belichick should be banned for week 1 of the new season. :sneaky:

Close. Patriots got hammered. Loss of next years 1st, and 2017s 4th. $1mill fine. Brady suspended for 4 games.

Hate the Patriots but Brady being suspended is PREPOSTEROUS. I knew he was gonna get it, but he shouldnt have. Ridiculous. Cant suspsend someone on circumstantial evidence

They banned the Browns GM for 4 games for sending text messages to the bench. Anything less for Brady wouldn't look right. just a pity the Dolphins aren't playing them in the first 4 weeks.

Johnson admitting he paid people to tamper with 100 balls in the Superbowl, and the fact he'll never be punished, makes a mockery of what they are doing to Brady.

Neither has got anything to do with the other. Johnson was never investigated while playing and what exactly can they do to him now that he's retired? Brady and the Patriots never cooperated with the investigation and have a history of cheating which was taken into account when given the punishment.

Err the Stickum example is wrong because there wasnt a rule saying that it wasnt allowed, so he didn't break any rules.

There was a cricketer at the beginning of the last century who read the cricket rule book and found there isn't a rule stating how wide the bat can be. So he made a cricket bat wider than the wickets, he wasnt breaking any rules and they had to let him carry on and had to change the rules after the match

Its pretty stupid. There was a story ran last year about how Eli Manning has two guys meticulously prepare and watch over his game balls throughout the season. Scuffing, shining, getting the PSI right, etc. He's not alone, every QB has a preference. The NFL never gave a shit because better passing = more scoring = more fans = more $$$. If the NFL really thought this was a huge competitive advantage they would do what baseball does (where it is actually a huge competitive advantage to tamper with the ball), and have the umpire be responsible for all the balls and switch out a new one seemingly every ten seconds. It's hard to see this as anything other than Goodell again using discipline as a PR tool.

The patriots releasing a website to discredit the wells report is pretty cringey. Then Goodel coming in hot with the ultimate power move announcing he'll be the arbitrator in Brady's appeal hearing.

Roger Goodell. So hot right now. Roger Goodell.

Stupid move from him.

"If Ted Wells and the NFL believe, as their public comments stated, that the evidence in their report is “direct” and “inculpatory,” then they should be confident enough to present their case before someone who is truly independent."

Doesn't look like he's very confident. This shit is going to court.

Early doors I know but when do we anticipate doing the fantasy draft?

Whenever it is, count me in although I had a complete write-off for ESPN last season! :grumpy:

Nope. Have to admit I have a love-hate relationship with the Saints.

Damn Bengals, you're shitter than the Lions, Browns and Bills.

Quite a few of those last wins were when the teams won or lost the Super Bowl including the Bucs, Raiders, and Giants. Just a reminder of how Super Bowl teams aren't always built to last or do last for many different reasons.

So when your team gets there, savor it for sure.

Brady's suspension upheld hahhahahaha

Eric Berry back in training camp today with the Chiefs. Was cleared to resume activities after he completed radiation. Was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma last season. Incredible heart, determination and fight to get back. Well done to him.
