Don't want to turn this into a Chelsea vs Arsenal thread but it takes a special kind of striker to go anonymous against that Arsenal defence, wow Torres. Puts a bit of pressure on us tomorrow which we don't exactly thrive on but oh well. 3 points, don't care how, just 3 points please.

Too soon to judge him, he could end up one of the greats
It was said in jest, but can you imagine the reaction Harry would have received on here if we were that bad. Don't think Spurs Chat would be safe to venture into for about week.

Not based on today. He was done by a fairly straight-forward tactical approach in the 2nd half by Arsenal. Neither team could defend so Arsenal's midfield just sat deeper and hit Chelsea on the counter once they got in front. That Chelsea had no response to that should be quite alarming for Chelsea fans.

Have a look at who CHelsea have played so far compared to us. They are not a team for us to worry about unless AVB changes their style of play. Today's game reminded me of Spurs in days gone by. It was more like basketball and you can't win the PL playing like that.

Great game to watch but fucking hell both teams were terrible at the back. 3rd is definitely up for grabs if Chelsea keep defending like that

Well then his defensive coaches suck. It all adds up to the same thing. His tactics don't work defensively.

Wandery Ramos hired a goal-keeping coach who was widely recognised as one fo the best and most innovative goal-keeping coaches on the continent. His methods di not translate to the English league.

Who is to say this AVB understands any better than Wandery, when hiring for the EPL.

I agree with the fella above who said it, way too previous to be conferring so much speciality on this fella and giving him such a big job.

Probably why he hires defensive coaches. He's not a trained physio either which is why he hires those as well.

I cant remember who i think it was graham or fry but one of them was saying players don't spend as much time on training as they did 20 years ago because they spend more time on conditioning and fitness

Graham use spend day in day out with that arsenal defence trying them to get solid and better i don't see any team taking the defenders away and spending that much time these days

Chelsea are in need of a major over haul, which could be bad news for so called lesser clubs, when Roman comes knocking with his £££.

Terry, Lampard and Drogba need to be replaced. The worrying factor is that Modric is the one they want to replace Lampard. They will certainly come back with another offer, whether this is January or the summer.

They have already replaced Drogba with Torres and Lukaku, that's £70m quid right there.

Personally I thought Lampard has been pretty good really, what they really lack is a quality holding player, and dynamic midfielder like Makelele or Essien in their pomp.

Terry is still a decent defender, but he is not made to play with the high line they operating at the moment.
