I cringed when they showed a clip of him saying that in the little tribute video of us for this season...

he said that yeah, but it just seemed to me he was covering for what he said earlier in the season.

The team at the moment certainly doesn't have the appetite for a top 4 finish nevermind a title push. He did add about getting another few players to making the difference, but it wont matter squat unless the team starting do the basics a lot better.

...which I genuinely believe they will do. They're a team, who fight in adversity, not a bunch of individual mercenaries with no club loyalty running through their veins. City's priority is the CL, so even if they lose to Stoke, they'll still think they can get that 4th spot.
