1. I was going to post a funny, sharp witted response, but I couldn't be bothered.
2. actually, I was 'blathering' and not 'blethering'
and 3. it's my thread, so I'll post what I want

I say blether, you say blather, let's work the whole thing out.

I'm leaving and I'm taking my comp with me -...aside form the fact that it's not a laptop...and...er...I'm at home already:oops:

The last 3 games could be vital.

Chelsea:

United (A)
Newcastle(H)
Everton(A)

Tottenham:

Blackpool (H)
Liverpool(A)
Birmingham(H)

Hopefully if not already looking to finish in the top 4 again by then you would hope the table is tight enough for these games to have a massive say on the season.

Chelsea's last 3 fixtures a hell of a lot tougher.

Are Liverpool a threat? Their tails are certainly up, and they have momentum.

Not if we keep winning. Long way to go and anything can happen. We just need to keep getting points, who knows we might catch Arsenal.

Problem with games at the end of the season is that I can see Brum and Blackpool fighting relegation still so those games are never predictable

If you look at RAWK they think they've got it all sewn up because apparently we are dropping lots of points at the moment and are crap after CL games, go figure.

Plus we'd have our focus distracted by being in the Champion's League final.

For me the key games me are the next three Sunderland away, Blackpool away and Wolves away, for me we need to be taking 7pts from these games to have any chance. I still cant see us finishing in the top 4, but i said that last year. One game at a time.

Siignificantly were we to beat Sunderland this weeked, we would have created a significant gap between ourselves and the chasing pack, which means that even if we suffer a massive dip in form late season, we are sure to at least get some form of European Football next season.

It is worth noting that despite some people thinking we are struggling a bit more this year then last (usually the media hacks that haven't done any proper research - and who also say we have wobbles after CL games??) we are actually doing better this year than last despite continual injury problems.

This time last year we had 43 points from 26 games. This season we have 44 from 25.

It truly is amazing that we have managed to do that despite the injuries and the inevitable focus on the cl. To have won our group and to be where we are is a great achievement.

If we can just get our players back and get some form we have a great chance.

Just came in to say this, they're speaking as though topping us is just a formality and how it's between them and Chelsea for 4th

I just plain don't like a large portion of the Liverpool fan base who think that past glories automatically should guarentee them there place at the top of the table. When us and city were ahead of them last season they were all saying they should get CL as they deserve it. Its just irritating.

Tbh though I don't care if they think they will finish in the top 4 and above us. I don't care if everyone in the world does. All I care about is that them team believe they can and go on to cement our place in next years competition.

One of them reckons it could be the end of us if we don't get 4th after all of the money we've spent :-|

true but not quite true. this season we have 44 from 25 but last season from the same 25 matches played against the same teams we had 46 points from the same 25 matches. ( this is substituting WBA for Burnely and newcastle for Hull.) technically we are 2 points down on performances from last season:shrug:

Seriously mate, do yourself a favour and ignore them. We are 6points ahead with a game in hand and look to have a fairly decent set of fixtures to finish the season with. I'm not saying that guarentees we will finish in a CL spot, but I would much sooner be in our position then theirs, so let them write us off.

I sometimes wish the public could read this forum just so the folk from RAWK and Blue Moon would realise how fucking retarded they actually are...
