As ever with this club, its the hope that kills you.

Don’t fall for it boys and girls............down that road you will only find pain and heartache

Now with us not having to worry about resting players hopefully the lads can push for the last CL spots. Leicester and utd can be caught as they have some tough fixtures especially leicester.

Leicesters last 3 are utd, chelsea and us and they have city next.

Just need to keep winning and hope for the best.

I am hoping the season serves some serious karma and West Ham go into the final game in 4th but have a food poisoning outbreak and we pip them to the post.

Only for Arsenal to win the EL and Liverpool to win the CL so we also miss out.

It's Arsenal who need to miss out on Europe for it to be karma. Although being forced to play in the Europa Conference League is arguably worse than not qualifying.

Not really. West Ham fans were total wankers for how they behaved after that game. I stopped speaking to one West Ham fan who genuinely believed that our players were not ill and had simply bottled it and used the food poisoning as an excuse. West Ham qualifying for the CL would be the biggest thing to happen in their history (apart from when they won the world cup obviously) so for them to miss out in the same way they laughed at us for missing out would be karma of the highest order in my book.

Just cannot see it and of course it ignores the other teams in with a similar chance as us. For balance, Leicester also have home games against West Brom, palace and Newcastle.
Chelsea are the only possibility to me. They are likely heading into the CL semi finals as well as an fa cup sf v man city.
It's possible they could trip up a bit, but whether we or one of the others are going to be good enough to take advantage is far from certain.

We won't do it, these players just don't have it in them mentally and we don't have enough who are willing to fight for the cause.

It won't change until the squad is gutted.

Fortunately any West Ham fans I knew were too busy

I'll settle for Arsenal and West Ham both having to field their U23 squads for the last two weeks of the season due to enforced COVID quarantines. ?

In the strangest of seasons so much is still up for grabs. Every time Arsenal get some momentum they then hit a pothole. Chelsea must be running out of new manager bounce soon and their fixtures will start to pile up. City win, Utd and Leicster second and third, order could go either way. Fourth up for grabs, Chelsea fav, but Pool ourselves and Spammers still in the running, possibly everton too. At the bottom hopefully NEwcastle join the bottom two.

Finishing in the top 4 is still up for grabs and I am confident we can do it. We have the tools. People talking about gutting the team are talking nonsense. Our players and manager are good enough, its just getting the mindset right, for example more composure and concentration, whether defending or attacking.

I've not noticed this mentioned, but what happens if Chelsea (God forbid) or Man City win the CL and they also finish in the top 4? Assuming the English clubs in the EL don't win that trophy, would the CL place drop down to 5th in the league?

Nothing - the top 4 would qualify. The only way the PL get a 5th place is if a club outside the top 4 wins the CL or the EL.

Every season I always look out for a team that those around us have to play and hope that team pick up form. We need West Brom and Sheffield United to start winning. An unlikely scenario though admittedly.

Ignore the article and have a look at the table at the top of it. All the teams around us have to play them.
